My buddy and I were going to go to Tito's Tacos (5 stars), but decided to try this place. It was overpriced. The "jumbalaya" was spanish rice with a small piece of sausage in it. It was not good. The salad was tiny and just shredded lettuce with some tomatoes. The corn bread was not southern style, but it was really good. Total $9.73 per person with no drink. We went back to Tito's.

I love Uncle Darrow's. They were rated by Zagat, Park Labrea news, Los Angles Times, L.A. Times Magazine, Los Angels Business Journal, and L.A. Weekly, just to name a few. First of all let me start out by saying I never had Catfish In my life. I love Their catfish sandwich It was only $8.99 and WOW is it good. After woods I found out that the catfish were farm raised. What a Deal. you'll be hooked. Go for the PO'Boys menu. I think their Cornbread is out of this world. I love cornbread and always try it at different places. But Uncle Darrow;s corn bread should be shipped world wide. (It's better than chocolate.) You will become a cornbread addict. You would be surprised how many FAMOUS PEOPLE eat hear. (a little Secret.) They are located on the corner of washington and Lincoln. Plenty of parking and it felt like home.

It's never a good sign when a restaurant is empty but we wanted cajun food real bad and so we decided to try Uncle Darrows only to be very disappointed! First of all there is not much on their Menu and everything they have to offer is over priced considering the size of the servings; which are so small it's unbelievable. I wasn't too unhappy with the prices until I saw the portions. I ordered the Fish Tacos $6.99 and my friend ordered the Catfish Meal $14.95. I swear I took two bites and the Fish Tacos were gone and we left there still hungry and my friend was upset because he paid for a meal that he said tasted like dog food and not geunine Creole food at all! My kids had the Chicken Strips meal and they were complaining that they did not have enough to eat geez we ended up going to Sizzler's after all. What a joke!
