The decor of this popular Sunset Junction spot is festive--from the textured pink walls to the dining room packed with huge butterfly kites, folk art and stained glass. Two separate bars are frequently filled to capacity as drinkers complement their margaritas with the Botana combo; a mix of nachos, taquitos, quesadillas and house-made guacamole. Entree favorites include chiles rellenos, onion- and pepper-simmered sirloin and an earthy mole slathered over chicken breasts or enchiladas.

I usually don't like eating @ Mexican resturants but this one is good! The outdoor seating area is nice and the buffet they have on sunday is delicious!

The food here is ok but not good enough to make it a regular stop, I think i come here once every year, it has the feel of a place that has seen better days. I think at one point they used to have a Mariachi show. It feels joyless inside/

Took my mom here for her birthday last month... Pretty good for traditional Mexican food. Decor is a bit garish, but also traditional. Decent margaritas...definitely not 'the best' as their sign claims. Nice enough for a Saturday afternoon.

Where to Sit:
Social butterflies should try to get one of the tables on the small front patio, where you can keep an eye on everyone who comes in and out.
When to Go:
Several dishes are served only on weekends, including estofado de puerco, a thick pork stew with potatoes, carrots and green olives. Call ahead for the day's specials.
Happy Hour:
Go Monday through Thursday 4pm to 6:30pm for free appetizers and chips and salsa.
