Editorial Review for Q's Billiards – by Stephanie L. Smith
In Short
Q's is the kind of pool hall where how you look while shooting pool matters more than whether or not you actually make the shot. For the best view of the dark wood island bar where UCLA hotties pretend to watch ESPN while checking each other out, ask for one of the seven tables on the first floor. Or, escape the pool tables and create some of your own action in the intimate upstairs rooms that are tastefully decorated with pressed-tin and velvet.

Just Moved in to town a couple of weeks ago was looking for a cool bar to hang out at. Went to watch a hockey playoff game a couple days ago. They didnt have the game on i asked them to change it and they did. I like the second floorspace. It seemed as though there was more room to roam around and i liked that. Definitely different from the bars i was used to back home. I enjoyed my experience and will be back.
Pros: Good looking people, cool staff
Cons: pool tables werent really taken care of

I went to Q's once during football playoffs, another pre-march madness to watch a huge BBgame. Both times it was pretty crowded (understandable), and both times I had a blast! Play pool, watch a game on the big screen, do it all. I'd say it's a great place to bring friends, ONLY if you are into sports and there to watch a game. Or, AFTER A DATE, it's a place to go play some pool and have a drink. It's an advanced sports bar, nothing less, but if you bring a non-sporty person there, they will be super uncomfortable. But they know how to put on a game- and the crowd enjoys every second. The food is pretty good as well.
Pros: gamenight, great crowd, good food
Cons: parking $$$(valet), can get too crowded at times
