really good mexican food, great prices

I love a good taco stand. Tacos Delta has a lot of options...I like anything with their chilaquiles.
Tacos Delta. I stumbled across this little hole in the wall on a walk thru sunset junction. That was four years ago and I am eating there on the go about 2x a week. The food is pretty authentic and everything I have tried has been a pretty good eats. Not the total truth. I haven't been able to sample the menudo. Not ready for that adventure. This little spot is family run and they are a pretty friendly bunch. The mom rocks, and makes sure you are completely taken care of once you hit the outside patio. It's one of those spots I have taken local and out of town friends to for a quick bite. Good prices, good food, friendly family. What more could you ask for??? I think they have been in business for 25 years, so tells you they are doing something right.
mystery burrito. i ordered a chile verde burrito which to me means a green chile burrito. i am a vegetarian so you can imagine my surprise when i found chunks of pork in my chile verde burrito. i took it back and told them they gave me the wrong order. in stead of taking my word for it they had to hunt down the original receipt to confirm my accusation. then they told me that chile verde is pork cooked in green chile. this is not stated on the menu, it just says chile verde. the man then gets an attitude and tells me i should ask questions if i want to know what is in the burrito instead of making them waste food. i couldn't believe how he was treating me. i put a dollar in the tip jar when i placed my original order, what a mistake. i will never go back after how rude they were to me.
Best Mexican Food in Silverlake!. I was so happy to discover this little taco stand in my neighborhood. They cook up really good Mexican food at great prices. The outdoor seating is quaint, although it's often busy so I usually take it to go. It's a great alternative to fast food chains.... authentic and delicious!!
No-nonsense Silver Lake taco stand revels in the simple joys of hot sauce and sunshine..
In Short
This family-run stand is basically a strip of patio tables between a jungle-like hillside and an asphalt lot populated by purple-haired fringe artists and neighborhood families. For breakfast, chilaquiles con huevos are a mess of griddle-fried tortilla chips, chili sauce, cheese, onions, peppers and over-easy eggs. Affordable lunch and dinnertime favorites include chili verde burritos, peel-and-eat shrimp soup and the especially popular carnitas. Banana, strawberry and papaya shakes appeal to sweet tooths.
Wet burrito verde. The wet burrito verde is marvelous. I alternate between the pollo and carnitas fillings--both are succulent--and dump on at least two containers of their red salsa. When I crave this burrito, nothing else will do. Curiously, I tend to develop my Tacos Delta hankering on late Sunday afternoons. On Sundays, the stand closes at 4pm, and I've pressed more than a few yellow lights in the name of unbridled burrito lust.
