Very great Customer Service. I recently went for my B-Day dinner and we had a total of 21 people. 12 children and 10 adults. Due to the number of people when I called to make reservations I had have a pre - fixe menu, which was all good. When my family and I arrived that night i'm not sure how it was mixed up but they made enough food for 21 adults. So initially I though it was gonna turn out bad because I knew 5 and 6 year old were not gonna eat all the food we ordered. Im sure it was just miscommunication, but I spoke with the manager and I MUST say the waiter and the manager were really accommodating and it was very NICE to have ended my night with great pleasure. Thanks Buca!

Love it!!!. This food is delicious, and I am very picky when comes to italian. The portions are huge, so come with an appetite. It's a cool place to go with your whole family...love the italian decor!

In Santa Monica? there's much better within 5 blocks.. We were well behaved, planned on spending a good amount, and felt like Buca was a good place to enjoy a friends birthday. UNFORTUNATELY our waitress and her manager didn't believe this was the case.

Long and short of it is, if you bring a group, plan on overspending for a decent meal. Sure the food wasn't bad, but in Santa Monica? C'mon, you can get better. Try one of the other 5 great Italian places within 5 blocks - you won't regret it, like our group of 10.

Or try El Cholo, or C&O's or anywhere but here.

Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant.. In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

Picky Italian loves it here!. I am very particular about the Italian food I eat but this food is great! Large family style portions so be sure to share OR order from the one section on the menu thats specifically for individual people. I've tried a bunch of different dishes and they were all fabulous. I took my parents here- my mom is even more particular than me and they both loved it. The decor is SO fun to look at- its unbelievable that they have so much Italian stuff! Definitely not your typical chain restaurant!

Bucca de Bland. The food is completely bland. The pasta usually comes out half cooked, and the sauce tastes like spagetti o's. If you are in the mood for a lot of high priced food with mediocre flavor, I'd cook at home.

Good Italian Food, Great with a Large Group. I have been here 3 times and I would say it is pretty good, not great. It is great for a large group, so that might make the difference. The Chicken Parm is good and so is the Salmon. I would skip the fresh mozzerella marinara. I would also skip the tiramisu, which none of us were a big fan of. Overall, tasty but nothing that out of the ordinary.

Huge portions, can be a little crowded. Come here if you're hungry or in a large group!

I go here a lot with a large group of friends, and seating can be a pain on weekend nights, but it's the best place to go with friends.

The food is good, but plan to share- each thing you order is enough to feed a group, I go with a group of 6 and we order 2-3 meals, and share. Sometimes there are still left-overs!

Filling , come with an empty stomach!. You need to be a large group to enjoy this place. Great for birthdays and other events. This place has great pizza! It has also the most loaded tiramissu!

Service is part of the experience so it's fast and friendly. there could be a half hour to 45 minutes wait on the weekends but next time I'll go I'll make sure to call ahead!
