  1. The lines, the ambiance and the parking are all awful.
  2. Great cheap tacos, usually a long line, and no parking.
  3. Taco's El Unico are horrible, and possibly the most ghetto atmosphere in LA.
drinks

  1. But don't forget the salsa, which they give in huge containers so you can spoon it into your tacos take a bite and let it drip down your chin, i mean you can drink this stuff.

  1. That doesn't make it bad food.
  2. This is worst food I've eaten - ever.
  3. Their salsa is famous as well
  4. The menu was very affordable, and the ingredients were fresh.
  5. really like the (real tortilla) tacos and burritos, but it's the salsa that I keep going back for.
  6. Simply the best taco stand tacos you will find.
  7. simply tell them the food is disgusting and I won't spend a single dollar there.
  8. You can leave there with a great meal for under five dollars.
  9. The food is not authentic and the salsa is not spicy at all.
  10. It's the best buy in LA Prices are the lowest and food fills the hole wonderfully
  11. Although the food may be tasty, the customer service SUCKS.
  12. The food was pretty pathetic (we had tacos, tamales, etc.) and it did have any good seasoning.
  13. But the attraction is in its unique and tasty hard-shell tacos and basic burritos.
  14. (Just don't do it every night cause you will pack on some serious pounds)The chips and salsa are the bomb and the burritos and tamales are pretty good too.
  15. Some good news: The refried beans were awesome!
  16. The upside is the food is fantastic.
  17. Stuffing a tortilla full of bland, stewed meat does not a burrito make!
  18. You can get tasty tacos or burritos for a reasonable price.
  19. The tacos and burrito's are wonderful and the salsa and fresh chips are to die for!
  20. finally stopped in, at the request of my friend, and had a fantastic and filling meal for around $5.

  22. Walk up taco restaurant with excellent and inexpensive food.
  23. Call it California-Suburban-Mexican-American, and then stand in line and get KILLER, ADDICTIVE tacos, tamales, and enchiladas.

  25. The food is good as long as you're only expecting to eat.
  26. Most tacos in L.A. are authentic Mexican-style tacos.
  27. the taco's are kickin and the salsa is addictive.

  30. The tacos are good but not as "special" as some would like you to believe.
  31. great tacos
  32. moved to ATL in 1987 and have not found any good food since.

  39. This place seriously makes the BEST tacos.
  40. Too bad greed rules over real Mexican food.
  41. Tito's isn't about gourmet or authentic Mexican food.
  42. The food is really not that flavorful and is more of a So Cal trend spot than a place for exceptional food.
  43. The line is long (for some reason), the service isn't great and the food is incredibly bland.
  44. The lines are always super long but always worth the wait- their shreeded beef tacos are incredible as are their bean burritos- my personal favortie!
  45. While Tito's Taco's offer a decent value and yummy tacos, okay salsa, and soupy guacamole-like sauce, I don't think it should rate as the number one in Mexican Food Category.
  46. Great food great price, nuf said.
  47. The salsa is the best on their hot chips (get extra of both).
  48. But don't forget the salsa, which they give in huge containers so you can spoon it into your tacos take a bite and let it drip down your chin, i mean you can drink this stuff.
  49. TITO'S rules as the very best fast food resturant in all of L.A. I still go out of my way whenever I'm traveling through L.A.
  50. The tacos and burritos are great and cheap.
  51. Our meat was accompanied solely by some lettuce and cheese, so I think that we'd hate the cheaper taco without cheese.
  52. If you like mexican food this place has some of the best tacos and for a good price too.
  53. The meat and bean burritos are yummy too.
  54. Tito's Tacos is worth going to just for the fresh crispy tortilla chips and unique watery gaucamole.

  59. The only thing latin about this place is the people behind the counter serving, what in my opinion is, the absolute worst food.
  60. All I can say is if you are not a Westsider and and if you have been used to the likes of King Taco, Tacos Michoacan, El Tepeyac and other better more authentic mexican eateries you should probably avoid this place.

  84. liked this sauce very much.
  85. This isn't authentic Mexican food, the tacos are okay and the salsa is mediocre as well.
  86. Great cheap tacos, usually a long line, and no parking.

  89. for incredibly tender meat, fantastic taste, and a perfect price.
  90. But if you like hard-shelled tacos with cheese--perhaps something a little more Americanized--then Tito's may be the place for you.

  108. Tito's is good food and great service.
  109. The tacos, and B&C burritos are seriously my favorite in all of LA.

  111. The salsa is to die for and the crispy homemade chips.
  112. Always a line outside, always fresh, hot food and taste is second to none.
  113. First of all this is not healthy style baja fresh type food nor is it authentic- if you want good "al carbon" tacos go to Mexico.
  114. They make these really simple, hard shell tacos with ground beef that just aren't that good.
  115. The food is mediocre, totally bland, but not terrible.

The Best taco's in LA?

by bobcoaz at Citysearch

You know the story " The Emperors New Clothes"? Well, that's what I think of when I see all the fools standing in line at Tito's Tacos. Just because someone says this is the best tacos or Mexican food in L.A. it seems many have bought into this joke and are just going along and not questioning what they are eating. I know LA can do better then this. I was raised in So Cal but now live in AZ and I heard about this great place to eat from family about Tito's so I was really looking forward to eating there as was 6 other family members of mine, all of which LOVE Mexican food. I didn't mind the lines or what I thought where high prices for fast food as this just added to the excitement of trying this incredible food at this well known hot spot, we where about to have this great LA experience. BUT as we all started to eat this CRAP I was dumfounded by what I was eating and all the hype about this place and the hysteria round me. The food was not at all special or unique. The tacos where so so and at $1.75 plus .60 for cheese I sure expected better. Some kind of meat and lettuce was all there was to this taco unless you order the cheese for extra. The crisp shell was fine but the taste bland. The meat burrito was terrible. I know I have had better in LA. All there was is a runny meat in a red sauce that had an odd taste to it, nothing else. BORING! And I love a good burrito so another let down. The only thing about the guacamole that resembled guacamole was the color green, that's it. Not the tastes and not the water down stuff they are passing off as guacamole. The beans where ok but again I have had better. Serving the chips with your food was a plus but that's it. No refills on drinks, again what a joke! I will never eat here again and I just shake my head in wonderment to all the dopes standing in those long lines thinking that they are eating the best that LA has to offer. WAKE UP LA, the Emperors has no clothes and Tito's Tacos are NOTHING special! I know LA can do better.

Every single time I drive by this place on the 405 I just want to stop and get a taco. It could be morning, I could've just eaten a huge meal, it doesn't matter. Those tacos make my mouth water, I think I could eat them every day. I wish I lived closer. You are missing out if you have not eaten there.
