Undecooked meatballs.
Friday Nite Dinners is a weekly event I do with my extended family. We go to tons of restuarants in the Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia areas.
This past Friday nite was the first time in 3 years that I have been sick - really sick - from food poisoning. And I know it was Maria's Spaghetti & Meatballs that did it. My husband ate my leftovers later that nite (before I started feeling sick) and had similiar symptoms.
Will not go back again.
NEVER AGAIN!. I used to love Maria's! My family and I would eat here often. However, after our last visit in January two members of our dinner party ended up with what the doctor determined was food poisoning. One member of our party was hospitalized. The other member of our dinner party that became ill had similar symptoms for a few days as well. I am so disappointed. As I mentioned earlier Maria's was a family favorite. When the manger was contacted regarding the doctors findings, we were basically told that it was not likely the illness was related to our dinner the night before. Since this was the only common meal we shared, the chances are that this is where we both were exposed to the food that caused the illness. It's not worth the possible trip to the emergency room to give this establishment another try.
ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER.HIGHLY RECOMMND!!!.
Love this place!!! I always get their mushroom pizza and the boss knows my order. haha.
Their pizza is the best Ive had. Its a simple pizza and I love the sauce. Even though I
dont live in the area
I've had there ravioli, pastas, and many pizzas. They used to make you custom pizzas and
it was great but now when I ask they say they don't do them anymore. At first glance, it
seems like every great slice place, no matter the city. At first taste, my spinach,
ricotta & garlic pizza was delicious. But something happened between the first and third
bites. Oh pesto pizza how I miss you. love all of it. The desserts are good too. Visit
them often.
Friendly and boisterous Italian-American spot for convenient neighborhood dining..
In Short
With its black, white and red color scheme, Maria's is a bright, welcoming place full of families, ritzy ladies out for dinner and couples grabbing a quick bite. A handy neighborhood hangout, the menu features Italian dishes and pizza. The fried zucchini appetizer is spotted with sesame seeds, while the capri salad or spinach salad--with Gorgonzola, pancetta, and glazed walnuts--make lighter starts. Porcini mushroom risotto comes with artichoke hearts and peas, and foccacia bread sandwiches the grilled chicken panini.

Avoid At All Costs, Please. We emailed our order for delivery. What did we get? Nothing remotely close to what we asked for, despite the itemized receipt showing exactly what we ordered! I'm a vegetarian and spelled out "No meat please!". As you might have guessed by now, I discovered my food was filled with beef, unfortunately after consuming some of it. Still, all I wanted was an apology, but did not receive anything but attitude. Oh yes, the other orders were all botched as well, missing sauce, dressing (for the fries), bread, and utensils. How did it taste you ask? Like someone dumped in a tub of Morten Salt before slapping together the next concoction.
Drinks better than the food. I ordered the penne arrabiata with chicken and it was a bit bland. Their lemonade was very good though, and I was satisfied drinking as many of those as I could over dinner. Our server was nice but he could've stopped by more often to give us refills.
plainly the worst. Went early on a Friday night. Awful food and some of the worst service in recent memory. Don't waste your time or your money...valueless. Some chains need to stop.
mediocre food, expensive delivery.. i ordered maria's, and used their delivery service. it took 45 minutes for it to get here, and when it arrived, the fettucine alfredo was NOT hot (barely even room temperature)... it was also very runny and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. the "garlic bread" was made on a sandwich roll, and tasted/felt very stale. i've had better garlic bread at pizza hut. Also, i felt that the $6 delivery charge was excessive, especially in light of how long it took to get here. $30 wasted on a lousy meal.
great vegetarian fare. I've been to Maria's Italian Kitchen several times now. I've been impressed every time. They score big points for providing solid Italian-American cuisine at a very reasonable price. They go a step further by also providing a nice variety of vegetarian/healthy dishes.
