Expensive but worth it. Every time I go to Gelson's, I'm aware that the price wont be friendly, but I usually come here when I have a hard time finding certain typed of food elsewhere, even cuts of meat you can find here that you can't find elsewhere. I had a hard time finding some good veal cuts, but Gelson's had it, which I'm thankful for. Personally I don't eat veal, but my grandma did, so I come here now.

The best grocery shopping experience. I frequent Gelsons on a regular basis, and really just appreciate everything about this market. The store is immaculate. The aisles are perfectly stacked with the items, the employees are kind and helpful, and the store merchandise selection is great. The produce, and meats are of the highest quality, and the bakery is fantastic. What other grocery store can you purchase dog food and a Lalique crystal vase?? Once you go to Gelsons, you will find it hard to go to any other grocery store again...

Souk of the swells!. Faaaabulous! On any given day this joint boasts more glitzy queens than the Almanack of Gotha! In addition to coke-and-hair gel demented star gazing and wayward housewife poaching opportunities, i can recommend the vast - and frosty! - beer selection.

LA's best grocery store. People may think it's weird that I am so passionate about a grocery store, but Gelson's is seriously amazing. Their salad bar is genius, their prepared deli food is SO good, the florist within the store is great. There's even a place to sit and eat your lunch with huge windows. It may be slightly pricey but it's def worth it -- good produce and meat, every cereal you could want, big parking lot, yummy bakery. I heart Gelson's!

Expensive...but Worth It. I wouldn't go to Gelson's for weekly shopping. It's just too expensive, and you can get pretty close to the quality at a good Ralph's or Pavillions. But when you are having a special dinner, or you are looking for a particularly hard to find vegetable, this Gelson's on Laurel Canyon is a sure bet. The fish, produce and meet are outstanding, they have a good selection of flowers, and an excellent bakery. Top notch all around.
