The cocktails are good, too, but Scotch lovers should try one if the Macallans - they serve the 10, 12 and 15. The Queen Mary is also the home of the annual ScotsFest.
What customer service?. Strange place. Some parts are well lit, and others are rather dark. I went there on a Saturday night and sat at a table. I left after 15 minutes because no waitress had approached me.
Relive the romance in an original first-class passenger bar overlooking the bow of this grand ocean liner..
In Short
Before the City of Long Beach purchased the RMS Queen Mary in 1967, it carried travelers from New York City to London. First-class passengers retreated to the Observation Bar, which overlooks the tip of this giant liner. Now the lounge has opened its doors to the public. The half-circle bar, where drinkers can toast to a view of the harbor and downtown, is dimly lit by antique ceiling and table lamps.
Shhh...don't tell anyone!. This place is so cool my 23 year old daughter loved it! We went there after dinner on a Saturday night and we all (13 of us) loved it! The lounge singer was corny and fun in his red satin shirt and black leather pants and he sang Elvis and Tom Jones all night, plus he was GOOD! The atmosphere was art deco and I could sit there all night having gin & tonics wondering what it would have been like to have sailed on this ship!
