What Our Expert Scouts Say

Los Feliz Municipal Golf Crse

For the price you are not going to beat it. It's grown-up mini golf and about the same price. They rent clubs for a tiny amount, buy balls for almost nothing and free pencils and scorecards.

Nice Quick Round of Golf. This is a quaint little place and is really nice for a quick round of golf. It's very cheap, so don't expect anything spectacular. However, if you'd like to just have a fun time - this is a great setting.

The fairways are very narrow so there's always a chance that someone's game crosses over yours. There are some very large trees (everywhere), but since it's a short and pretty straight -shot course, the trees add the challenge you wouldn't have otherwise.

There is no dresscode, the crowd is casual and locals get a discount of $6 per game, out-of-towners at $10... now... THAT'S CHEAP!!! Tee offs are on mats and you can get away with a 9, pitching wedge, and putter.

If you're going on the weekends, try shooting for an afternoon tee time - less crowds.

Overall - cheap and fun!

Pitch and putt in the shadow of Griffith Park with newbies, old pros and a coupla "Swingers.". In Short
At this par-3 9 hole course, it doesn't matter who you are, how much money you have, or if you have any experience. The point is to be outside and have a good time. You need only bring a positive attitude, you can rent the requisite pitching wedge and putter onsite. Since the course is tucked into a thin strip of land between the I-5 and Atwater Village, all the fairways are extremely tight. Dozens of tall old sycamores give you something to go kick when your ball slices into their branches.

Legendary Par 3. Having been immortalized in the movie "Swingers", Los Feliz Golf Course may draw some just to play on the course for that reason alone. However for locals and regulars, Los Feliz is more than just a pitch and putt course with a Hollywood history. Its narrow fairways and overhanging Sycamore branches can combine to make it a nice little challenge for experienced golfers and duffers alike. Shots that kick off the trees can make for some interesting lies behind trees, in patches of sandy dirt, or lost among the fallen leaves that cover the ground in some areas. This course is a great way to spend a couple of free hours and a few extra bucks. Weekday fees are only 4 bucks and 2 to replay. 6 bucks well spent for an entertaining and interesteing 18 holes. Weekend fees are only 5 bucks, but the course can get crowded and you might have to wait a few minutes to tee off. The best time to play is during the week in the mid-morning, almost no wait and not too many on the course.
