great place, amazing los angeles skyline view, highly important european artists, extensive patios, like getty, like contemporary art, like amazing view
Great place to get away from it all. This is a great place to spend the day doing something a little different from the usual. The facility is well kept and the art collection as well as the architecture is second to none. I would highly recommend checking it out!
A great place to visit during the winter months..... It is actually great to visit at anytime during the year, but I like the sun too much to come during the summer months. The view is amazing and the art is in a league of its own. There are also many places to eat--a great place to go with friends.
What A View!. If you like contemporary art and an amazing view, then you’ll like the Getty. The art work is certainly unique, but the best part is the panoramic view of LA. You can have a meal or just sit and stare. Either way it’s worth the trip up the monorail. A great way to spend a day.
Perfect Saturday afternoon. On an unusually boring saturday afternoon my girlfriends and I decided to go to the Getty. There were tons of quaint restaurants and boutiques in the area. It's the perfect place to enjoy a saturday afternoon.
A must for everybody. The Getty Museum offers a nice--though not too extensive--selection of most outstanding and highly important European artists of the 18 and 19 century. Impressionists like Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir --to name but a few--are being exhibited and visitors are even allowed to take pictures of the paintings (however without flesh). Art-aficionados and those with an interest in art saunter through a modern and tall building which is thoroughly permeated with light and are able to enjoy the Los Angeles skyline view from the museum's extensive patios. The gallery offers ongoing and changing exhibitions, furthermore it displays photographs, ancient furnishing items, sculptures, modern art and light installations.
