great large seats, great place, comfortable stadium seating, worst theater, comfortable paseo, great view, outstanding nothing
Worse Theatre Ever. Worse theater experience ever! The cashier and manager should be fired!! The cashier couldn't get anything right. As the ticket request was made, the cashier repeated every aspect of the request incorrectly. Not just once, but several times. Then the cashier provoked the customer into a confrontation. When the customer went to complain to the manager, the cashier literally ran past the customer to get to the manager first. Having said their piece, the manager didn't listen to anything the customer had to say. What kind of customer service is this? The cashier provokes the customer and the manager promotes it. BOOOOOO! If you want to go to a Pacific theatre try the Americana in Glendale. Better service, amenities and comfortable seating.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, STAY AWAY FROM THIS THEATER!!!!. If there was an option that I can give zero star I would. Do yourself a favor stay away from this theater. Poor services and the theater shuts their AC off after 1:30 am were 300+ people were still watching inside the theater. We came out almost soaked.!
Horrible Customer Service. THis is by far the worst theater I have ever been to in my life. THe management hires kids who do not understand anything about interpersonal skills and they are rude. They make you open your bag so they can check for left overs. What professional company does that? They are money hungry and I will never spend a penny there. I will be sure to tell all my friends about their service and how they want us to buy there $10 waters and popcorn but they will not allow left overs from anywhere else.
Nice, but expensive.
This theater is typical if you want to see the latest big Hollywood movie. It has nice stadium seating (with the mobile armrests), is very clean, has all the typical concessions. It also has several credit card ticket machines so you don't have to wait in line.
There are also lots of great places to eat around the theater, and plenty of shops as well, making it a nice place to go.
The only problem I have with this theater is the price of the tickets. Regular price is $10 (as of summer 2006), and they don't offer military discounts. They do offer student discounts, however (bring your ID), and there is a special matinee price in the afternoons.
I can't knock off too many points for high prices, though--this seems to be the norm for theaters like this. Overall, if you're willing to pay a little extra, this is a great place to go.
(Note: I don't have a car, so I haven't had to deal with any parking issues, but I've heard that parking can get pretty bad when it's busy.)
Typical - nothing outstanding. This theater is very typical of other large theater complexes. It's crowded and crowded and crowded. The theaters have stadium seating which I generally love. However, the first couple of rows in the main seating area (above the main walkway) are a bad seating choice. Since there is only one exit/entrance to each theater, all walking traffic must pass in front of these two rows. It's disturbing and distracting. Also, because there aren't several concession stands scattered around the complex, they've made the drinks self-serve. Needless to say it's a total mess unless you get their for the very first show.
A new disappointment. Not as bad as some of the shoebox AMC complexes but still horribly underwelming. Small boxy theaters with common width screens and average sound systems, but hey, they have stadium seating. Add the atmosphere of a busy airport and you have a real mess. Not worth the effort of trying to find a parking space.
Good Theatre. I'm not quite sure why this theatre seems to be so empty compared to the other theatres around it but I thought the Paseo was comfortable and CLEAN.
WOW. A very nice theater with a a great selection of movies. Its big and clean and very new. It seems to be one of the "hip" theaters around. saw young couples and a lot of people on dates. The seats were a little weird. THey gave the effect that at any moment they would eject you out of your seat and send you flying through the air... ANyway great place for a movie and a date. ANd Islands is right around the corner for some great grub grub
Living in Luxury. This theater has a nice selection. The stadium seating is great and all but I do have one valid complaint. The chairs! Thats right the chairs! There very uncomfortable. I couldnt get my head properly adjusted. Other than that the seats are great. Great view, nice leg room, screen looks new. They give you parking validation. You'll still wind up paying though. Great part about the Pacific Paseo theater is that Islands is right outside and you can get yourself a saliva-inducing bite to eat while you wait!
Great Seats - Great Audience. Some important things when going to see a movie - the seats had better be good, the audience has to be respectful, the sound needs to be amazing. Pacific Paseo has new, comfortable, stadium seating and through every movie I have seen there, the audience has been quiet and behaved. The sound is exquisite. If I am going to go see a mainstream movie in Pasadena, this is where I go: always.
