Made my list of best study spots in NELA. I love grabbing a copy of the LA Times and having a leisurely breakfast here on a weekend. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but that just gives me more time to browse the paper. See my complete reviews of NELA study spots/cafes at www.yorkblvd

The food was just okay.... but the price was good compared to it's sister restaurant across the street. I didn't care for my entree (chicken roulade with goat cheese, basil and tomatoes, too sour tasting), but my husband's grilled ham and cheese sandwich with bechamel was good. My husband didn't either entrees, so I don't think we'll be going back again.

C'est tres bon!. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food is here! I am married to a Frenchman and he loved the restaurant! I recommend the lamb!

Eagle Rock regulars line up for homemade baked goods, salads and the signature croque monsieur.. In Short
Framed French advertising posters hang on the walls of this bright bakery, and in its center is a display case loaded with pastries and breads. The decor follows a quaint cafe theme, with terra-cotta walls, bentwood chairs and marble-topped tables. Its menu is made up of meal-sized salads, quiches and house-baked bagette sandwiches. Traditional croque monsieur, a lunchtime favorite, is an open-faced ham-and-cheese sandwich doused in melted Gruyere and bechamel.

Great addition to the neibhgorhood. This bakery/cafe is a wonderful addition to Eagle Rock. The sister restaurant across the street, Cafe Beaujolais is a great place also. Le Petit Beaujolais has fresh bread and delicious pastries. We've needed a place like this for eons. The staff here is always helpful...although at peak times (generally around lunch) it's hectic and you may have to wait in line.
