Burger Joint is a local favorite: The restaurant has been nominated for the Best Burger, Best Cheap Eats & Best Family-Friendly Restaurant in the Bay Area by Citysearch Editors in the Best of Citysearch 2003 and was selected "Best Low Cost Niman Ranch Burger" by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.

Like its San Francisco incarnations, this eatery is a beacon of Day-Glo retro cool. Jet-lagged passengers line up as classic-rock tunes play out of the in-ceiling speakers, placing orders for all-beef hot dogs, Niman Ranch hamburgers and grilled free-range chicken sandwiches. Thick fries are served hot with every burger at no additional charge. Stave off those airline-food blues with a thick, creamy milk shake.
