Tips for Highlands Night Club

Not on a Friday or Saturday. We had an 8:00 reservation on a Friday, and we were the only patrons in the whole place. The staff was very accomodating about booth choice and the heaters (on the balcony) and the booths were really very comfortable. However. Directly below the restaurant in the Highlands club, on Friday and Saturday nights there is the Hollywood Men strip show. The bass from the music was vibrating the table and was louder than the Loggia's music. Any ambiance was completely ruined.

I don't know what to say about the food as we left before we could even order drinks. I have never ever before walked out of a restaurant once I was already seated. The menu was rather limited though and I wasn't too disappointed to be leaving.

The view may have been nice if it wasn't so cold, they had the plastic sheeting rolled down which made the Hollywood view all distorted.

Maybe a cool place to go with a group of friends for expensive drinks and appetizers as there was a great lounge vibe at the back of the restaurant.

It's been a while since I've been, but I LOVED IT!!. We went around 5:oo on a Sat. We were on the inside, with a great view of the outside seating. Maybe because it was early, the staff was great and seemed very on top of things, very attentive. There were a lot of young male wait staff!! I thought they we so cute. About time!! I am a woman and having young men wait on me is GREAT!! The view is spectatular!! We went to the outside edge and you feel like you could be in New York with the City below!! I had the Catfish and it was Soooooo Good!! Lemon Drops!! MMMMM!! Our bill was BIG!! But, I really enjoyed it!! I hope if I go back now, I will have the same great experience!

I'd go somewhere else if i were you. This place was all that is bad about Hollywood. Noisy irritating crowd. Service staff that's more interested in how they look than providing worthwhile recommendations on food and beverage, and food that would barely be passable, if it weren't for the location. At least they validate parking.

Horrible!!!. This place has an ugly crowd, bouncers who constantly tell you where to stand and what to do, and is completely full of bridge and tunnel people. I felt I was in a nightmare at this place and would not go back if I was paid. If you are going to spend that much cash (>$100 for dinner and some drinks), you might as well go somewhere that is more upscale and courteous to their patrons. Stay away!!!!

Not so much.... We booked 9:30 reservations, showed up 10 min. late (typical angelenos) and weren't seated until 10:20! While we were waiting to be seated and admiring the view around 10ish, a woman comes over, gives us the once-over, and asks if we're trying to go to The Highlands. I said, "No, actually we're waiting for our table. We had 9:30 reservations." She stalks off, we get seated 20 minutes later by the barely-legal host, and then this same woman comes back over, sticks her head in towards our table and says quite snottily, "I hope this was worth waiting for!" Are you kidding me? That ruined the whole experience--I think she was a mgr there and if management acts like that, forget it. Beautiful place, tiny tapas portions, but crappy service. Watch out for the $40 mininum.

I've tasted better. The view on the balcony was awesome!

But the overall food wasn't excellent. I don't recommend the Chow Fun...it's too sweet and salty...overflavored and expensive. Although the chicken is good. They have very cool tables and huge booths where you can get together with friends. But don't expect too much from the food.
