In Short – Light and airy as a country farmhouse, the simple decor and pine furnishings radiate rustic ambience. Locals gather at a long communal table, while couples sneak away to private seats in the back. The menu features salads, soups and house-specialty tartines (open-face sandwiches) with fillings like imported French ham, duck pâté, Gruyere cheese and Scottish smoked salmon. For a snack, a colorful fruit tart pairs well with a two-fisted mug of aromatic coffee.
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- A full-service gourmet bakery offers artisanal breads, cakes, pastries, jams, Belgian chocolates and imported Mediterranean delicacies (olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, olives) for carry-out.

i love love love this place. i am a regular customer here and they provided the best of the best. one thing that's a con is the service. they don't really pay attention to the customers they are handling very much. but over all the food is delicious and very appetizing.

Le Pain Quotidien has a great selection of fresh breads, pastries, croissants, brioches, pains aux raisins, apple turnovers, belgian waffles... It's a great place to go to for breakfast, lunch (salads, tartines, omelets, soups) or to enjoy a coffee and pastries in the middle of the afternoon!
- Pros: Fresh & yummy breads, pastries

uh, interesting- I want to try it again. I had the goat cheese omlet with a salad not bad. OJ was the bomb. Seating was pretty cool. You get to sit next to other families and be warm. I liked it. Good quaility.
BRING OLD quiche lorraine recipe BACK!!!

I love le pain Quotidien. BUT a few days ago I went back here and ordered my absolute favorite thing on the menu the quiche Lorraine. To my HUGE disappointment they had changed the recipe for it! They've replaced the most scrumptious recipe in the world for one that really tastes like it was bought at a discount chain and microwaved. WHY!?!?!?!? This was the BEST thing on your menu! Why would you change perfection?

I love LPQ. Super yummy. I love the roasted turkey with herb dressing sandwich if I want something substancial to eat, but many times my friend and I will go just to nosh on their cheese plate and use the delicious spreads there on their fresh breads. The Praline spread is insane.
