What People Are Saying About Piccolo Paradiso

In Short – Chef-owner Giacomino Drago says the inspiration for this restaurant comes from the Italian movie classic "Cinema Paradiso," but the vibe is distinctly Beverly Hills chic, with dark polished-wood paneling and dramatically lit modern art pieces. Drago makes the rounds at peak mealtimes, coddling the mature, local crowd. The menu relies on classic renditions of crowd-pleasing favorites, like burrata draped with olive oil and shredded arugula, and spaghetti tossed with basil and cherry tomatoes.

Beyond Bad Food if that is Possible
by HighLo
This restaurant could be the very worst Italian
food I have ever experienced. Appetizer garbanzo
beans and octupus turns out to be 5 calamari
heads and beans. Are they kidding or what?
I sent it back. Next I was served ravioli with
eggplant. I couldn't decide whether the ravioli
was defrosted because the edges were like
cardboard or if they were overcooked. Whatever,
they had no taste. A soupy cheese sause was below
them. Needless to say, I sent this dish back
as well. The eggplant rollatine appetizer was
fair, my husband mentioned he couldn't taste
the eggplant. Do not recommend this
restaurant. Can not imagine why they ar
highly rated in Zagut. Of course it has dawned on
me that Zagut was padded to write anything
positive about Piccolo.
Incredible!

This is truly one f the best Italian restaurants in town. The food is simple and incredible. Every dish is delicious and unique in its own flavor. I especially love and recommend the gnocchi with creamy truffle sauce. Its the only dish of any restaurant that I ever crave. The service staff is super friendly, and totally Italian. It's like being in Italy.
Best Italian in the city

Fantastic service and incredible food. This is my new go to Italian spot. We came in without a reservation and the hostess was so courteous and got us seated within 5 minutes.
The starters are incredible. I had a fennel and blood-orange salad that was just perfect.
My main course was a rigatoni in a boar bolognese sauce and i devoured it.
Really good Italian is hard to come by, I can think of 3 places that I take seriously and this is one of them.
- Pros: menu, service, location
GREAT Italian in BH

This little restaurant has AMAZING Italain food the service is very warm and flawless, as well. Everything I have tried here is really great. The only downside is the restaurant can be a little on the "cozy" side.
- Pros: great food and warm service
- Cons: Restaurant is small - it's not cheap, but the food is very high-quality
The best Italian Rest in town!!!
by elleater
definetely this restaurant is "NOT" an average Italian restaurant! This is one of the best Italian restaurant!! I' ve been going to Picolo Paradiso for the past 3 years and the food is very authentic and delicious, just as you were in Sicily (Italy). the Chef Giacomino Drago is notable chef in BH for the past decade. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who appreciates good food, without going to Italy...!!
