Fluorescent light bounces off the white linoleum and rebounds off the walls into the party favor store on the second floor. Hungry patrons, with numbers in hand, wait for their chance at the counter. A few tables offer a place to eat amid the cacophony. Cuban specialties sandwiches, classic American pastries and decorated cakes fill the large U-shaped displays. The pina colada dessert features a pineapple-coconut fluff covered in white chocolate.

Porto's Bakery is a great place to get great deserts and pastries. I highly recommend their fruit tarts, meat pies and potato balls. It may sound pretty plain, but they're really good. I would try to either go there early or at least not during the lunch hour, because there'll be crowds of people waiting in line. But it is definitely worth the wait if you love all kinds of pastries!!! Highly recommended

I am a long time Porto's fan, I don't mind the long drive. However, this year I've had 2 bad experiences. 1) Hard and un-biteable fruit tort crust. I had to drive back the next day to exchange for a different type of cake all together. 2) I bought a cake for my sister's birthday, she is a merengue nut, but when we brought it home we noticed the cake was all bread and a very very thin layer of icing, that in some areas revealed the bread. I am just afraid that the quality is flying out the window !!!

Sooooooooo delicious. I love their cakes and pastries. Everyone should try this place. There is parking in the back and back streets also. 'Their chocolate cake is delicioso.
