great place, friendly bartenders, great service, great beanbag makeout room, not brave cerrado, great food, yummy sauce
This Bar fills their top shelf with well.
I went to this bar for an OutFest after party and ordered Don Jullio blanco tequila neat. It was well tequila in a Don Julio bottle so told the bar tender that he may have poured the wrong drink(I was very nice about it and asked him to open another bottle-because you CANNOT sip well tequila) He refused and gave me serious attitude. I find it offensive and it also ILLEGAL to fill top shelf bottles with well liquor. I get it times are tough but when a costumer calls you on it you should have the decency to fix it.
So I will never go back. You can't charge $12-$15 for well tequila and then fight with the customer.
Great place!. I had my birthday party here a week ago and everything was perfect! The owners were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure everything went off without a hitch. The drinks were great and so was the music. I cannot recommend this place enough. Seriously, you will have a great time. Thank you Vine Bar!
Rent free House Music and Great Bartenders Thursday Nights at The Vine Bar.
At last a place in Los Angeles that plays House Music and you don't have to pay to get in. I know the Vine bar has a hipster rep, but i went to the Vine bar on a whim, and on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised. No cover and house music. The DJ's weren't Cerrado perfect but brave. And endearing cause they knew they were experimenting in the face of the crowd. But I enjoyed it. The line for the bathroom was a little long, I've never seen so many guys and girls check eachother out while waiting. That's not true. There are those moments at the standard downtown. The bartenders are friendly and as fast as possible with the crowd. I'm just excited that I can be in Hollywood and not on The Cahuenga Corridor, and enjoy house music. The one down fall is that the DJ's tend to cater to the crowd. They'd be better of if they stuck to their guns and brought the crowd along with them.
T
Hipsters and rockers head to this hidden gothic-like wonderland for late night beers and torrid conversations..
In Short
A glowing arrow points out this secluded bar's existence. Inside, black chandeliers dangle from deep red ceilings as denim-clad patrons sit at the bar chugging beers and sipping cocktails. Behind the bar, pseudo ostrich-skin walls are slathered with large antique black-framed mirrors. Visible in its reflection is the upstairs lounge overlooking the bar. This simplistic indoor balcony has an identical mirror, black leather lounge seating and a more intimate setting. Rock and techno music flows from the speakers below as candles flicker in the darkness.
Used to be great....
This place used to be a great spot with acoustic shows on sunday nights for a while.
The improvements to the interior are actually brilliant, but the music is way too loud and the same sh!t crowd of hipsters from the beauty bar and the rest of cahuenga end up here on Saturday nights.
On the plus side the bartenders (plucked from other cahuenga bars) are friendly to serious drinkers, and dont have any patience for hipsters. Every other night of the week the place is pretty empty, but great for a mellow outing.
FONDUE!!!! IS VERY VERY GREAT~!!!!!!. FONDUE!!!! IS VERY VERY GREAT~!!!!!!PRICE IS NOT BAD~ BUT MUSIC IS YOUNG 20'S
Now Serving Hard Liquer. I loved this place. A friend took me here the past weekend. Being from San Francisco, it had that cool vibe I could find at 111 Minna. The fondue is delicious and easy on the pocket. And not sure if it's a new thing, but I had a gin and tonic, a Cosmo... so they serve alcohol now!!!!
*Delicious Fondue*. The place had a very laid back vibe. The service was wonderful - friendly and attentive. The dinner and dessert fondue were ***delicious*** and well priced; the small size pot was more then enough for my friend and me and only 10-12 bucks. It came with tons of veggies + bread for dinner and cake + fruit for dessert. I have recommended this place to all of my friends.
Need Booze. My buddy held his birthday party upstairs in the private room. The room is awesome, with bean bad couches and tables, and the fondue platters kept on coming. It's a cool place to go if you can get the upstairs room. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. However, it would be even cooler if they served liquor. Major, major downfall of this spot.
Sake, Fondue & Much More!. Whoever finds something wrong with Vine must not know how to appreciate LA nitelife. The fondue was amazing (Spinach Artichoke & Basic Chocolate) and so was the service - very, very attentive and friendly. The cocktails were so good - you could tell they really used their imaginations when creating these drinks made with sake. Definitely worth every minute we spent here and can't wait to go back!
