Editorial Review for Grove at Farmers Market – by Nicolas Rabinovitch

In Short
Inspired by the family friendly atmosphere of the attached 1930s Farmers Market, the Grove offers expansive public spaces with waterfalls, small parks and a trolley ride. Familiar names like Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch, Crate & Barrel and Anthropologie, co-exist with harder finds like Barney's Co-Op, Fresh and American Girl Place. There is also a colossal 14-screen theater with stadium seating, and food options range from local favorite The Farm of Beverly Hills to chains like The Cheesecake Factory.

I often go to the farmers market after work just to pick up the atmosphere. International delicacies among local dishes are showcased everywhere while a mixed crowd and a particular scenery maintain a cozy atmosphere. Sometimes it is a kind of chaotic though, but certainly a perfect place for family dining and shopping. The haunt is especially packed on weekends. Recently I had some sushi there. It came fresh and nicely arranged. It is though all about the communal vibe and the international cuisines it offers.

The Grove (at the Farmer's Market) is probably my favorite mall in all of the Los Angeles area (keeping in mind that I'm a West Hollywood resident). An upscale feeling outdoor mall, this place rocks! It's got a huge movie theatre and all the stores you'd want. The parking can (and does) fill up, so arrive early or count on doing the parking deck dance for a while. Better yet, park at a meter in the neighboring streets if you plan to be in and out (not for the movie-goer).

More like a stroll through an amusement park than a mall, WeHo's open-air shopping center caters to upscale shoppers and tourists alike.  See the full editorial review.
