Another lost customer. I always loved the food at Petrelli's. Th waiters were wonderful and had been there for the past ten years. It was a weekly dining experience for us. The crazy old lady that always seated us just got worse and worse each and every year. She so ruined the whole experience for us and all our friends as well, that no one wanted to go there anymore. She is nasty and grumpy. We tried to ignore her, but she insisted on bossing everyone around. You sat only were she wanted you to sit and she could care less what your preference was. It finally just wasn't worth it any more. George was wonderful and it is a charming place, but we will never go back there again.

George Petrelli's Steak House. Great Pork Chops.. Good Drinks.. Service FANTASTIC... PEGGY IS A REAL PRO that knows what great service is all about.Forget about some of the wanna Be's that work here. I moved to Culver City a few months ago. I eat here a few times and always had good food and FANTASTIC PEGGY'S SERVICE

worst steak ever. The only good thing I can say about my visit is the service besides that the meat was pedestrian in quality I highly doubt that it was even USDA prime. I would compare the quality to Norms (where for 10.00 you could get the same if not better quality, definitely when it comes to sides). I did ask for the George Extra Large Porterhouse it was tough, tasted old had no flavor , was not properly cooked half the steak was burnt the other was raw, the dinner rolls were stale the Cup of beef soup was flavorless and watered down, the salad was a pathetic excuse for one with some bits of wilted lettuce. The two sides that came with the steak were a baked potato which was tiny and came with too much sour cream and 3 shreds of cheddar cheese. The French fries were obviously frozen they tasted of stale old oil. The overall decor was old and tacky, and the walls and booth were dirty and greasy. Finally the beer was not cold enough and semi flat from the get go. For the 80.00 I dropped I would highly recommend going to Fogo De Chao in Beverly hills on La Cienega, their the service is better, clean warm environment, the meat is of the finest top quality cooked by professionals. The sides are mouthwatering and their drinks are perfect.

Major disappointment. I should have been suspicious that the parking lot was almost empty. Hadn't been to Petrelli's since they moved into the new building across the street from where they once were located. The restaurant was nearly empty at 7:30 on a weeknight. The only good thing I can say about this dining experience is that the steak was good. Your meal starts with a bowl of beef soup (no substitutions the menu says!) which is 100% tasteless. Not even salt and pepper could revive this tired mess in a bowl. The bread was warm and had the consistency of chewing gum. The salad was okay, but the green beans served with the steak were straight out of a can. Deplorable. And about those menus: encased in sticky, greasy plastic. It was like eating in a hospital cafeteria. Petrelli's might once have been a Culver City institution, but it's time to put it to rest.

Culver City institution serves classic meat-and-potatoes fare to loyal throngs.. In Short
Locals huddle in the comfy booths of this bare-bones dining room, while the bar exudes classic ambience. Run by the Petrelli family since 1931, the old-school vibe of this steakhouse is more family-friendly than swinging single. Meat--and lots of it--is the trademark at George Petrelli's enduring eatery, with chops, steaks and Italian favorites like eggplant Parmesan rounding out the menu.

I'd rather go to sizzler!. The steak was over-cooked, the lobster was way to expensive for a VERY SMALL portion and the vegeatbles tasted as if were from a can! The fountain drinks came in small glasses and refills cost the same as buying a new one! This was the worst steakhouse experience I've ever had!!!

40 PLUS YEAR INSTITUTION. I have never left the restaurant either hungry or disappointed. The steaks are surpurb. The ribeye is to long for. The owners are most pleasant and add to the dining pleasure. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is hungry and wants the best prime aged steak. You will not be disappointed.

"THE BEST HAMBURGER YOU WILL EVER EAT". I HAVE BEEN EATING AT PETRELLI'S SINCE I WAS A CHILD, A MERE 50+ YEARS AGO. THE FOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN EXCELLENT, BUT IF YOU WANT THE "ULTIMATE HAMBURGER" THEN YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIRS, IT'S A 1/2 LB OF MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, GROUND SIRLOIN, BUT HOLD THE LETTECE AND TOMATO AND ORDER IT WITH THEIR FABULOUS GRILLED ONIONS, THEN SLATHER ON THEIR "PRIVATE PETRELLI'S STEAK SAUCE", YOU WILL THINK THAT YOU HAVE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN !!! THE BURGER COMES WITH A LARGE MOUND OF DELICIOUS FRIES, I PROMISE, YOU WON'T BE SORRY AND FOR SURE YOU WILL COME BACK AGAIN.... FYI, THEY ALSO HAVE TABLES IN THEIR FRONT PATIO, HEATERS, MUSIC AND ITALIAN LIGHTS, IF YOUR IN THE MOOD FOR SUNSHINE OR MOON LIGHT

Great place to eat!. The parking lot was very full, but they still managed to seat us almost immediately on a Saturday night. Service was friendly and efficient, and the steak was awesome.
