I went to Ed Little's based on reviews on CIty Search and Yelp. This was my first . I would go again. Service was pretty fast.

my family has been bringing our cars to Bob for as long as I can remember.. 10 years+.. always does quality work, with a complete breakdown of all work clearly explained on the invoice. they will call you in advance if you like before any work is performed to go over your options.. all in all, top notch. and yes, make an appointment.. like any good place, they're always swamped with business.. and it generally takes a few days to get in there.

I first learned of Ed Little a good 20 years ago. For years, I took my 70 Olds there for service. Sometimes by appointment, though not every time. Honest people who did a solid job. I?d not had occasion to get over there in a few years, but yesterday had the Olds towed in for service. It had broken down; thus, need for tow. First question Bob asked after running out to prevent tow-truck driver backing car into the lot: ?Do you have an appointment?? I said, ?No, sorry.? (Why would I? Since the car just broke down?) He said, ?Okay, what?s the problem?? (Never acknowledged he knew me, which he does.) ?Carburetor,? I said. ?Needs a base gasket, since gas is leaking from that spot.? Easy job, actually. In so many words, he informed me as to how the guy who used to fix carburetors quit years ago, and how he had no one to do the work, etc. Then that I might try such-and-such place?a good distance further down the road, my car still hitched to a tow-truck, remember. Far as I know, Ed Little continues to provide good and honest service to customers. I can?t personally attest to that by now, since I got no service at all. Thus, three stars, which is more than fair here. Little would have got five from me in the past, as well as now, if the place employed at least one mechanic who still knows how to work on a V-8, complete with carburetor, and if the first question wasn?t about whether or not I?d made an appointment, which is a silly question when a car is hanging off the rear-end of a tow-truck. That Little doesn?t employ a mechanic who knows how to fix a carb (fix or rebuild, as necessary) is embarrassing, especially given how long the shop has been in business. Needless to say, I won?t be going back to Ed Little, nor should anyone whose car isn?t fuel-injected?apparently. And look out if you?ve not made an appointment ahead of time. Ed Little is no longer the auto-repair shop is was for so many years.
