I called Mike Diamond to fix 2 leaky faucets. They had a house visit charge of $76.41. Then the tech came out, looked things over and returned from his truck with a menu book. When he pointed to the column that said just one of the faucets would cost $344, I asked how much of that was the part. He said it could be as little as $5 but it was standard to do this on a job-by-job basis. Then he tried to sell me a warranty to get the price down in the $250 range.. I couldn't believe it and asked him to leave. The tech used profanity in my home. I called to make a complaint and the company started a concern file. It seemed clear they were used to getting these. Look out for these Scam Artists!

There Prices are way too high, And you would think that there techs would make lots of money. There supposed to be paid a percentage of the invoice. But by the time they charge the tech all the stuff they charge. they end up making probably 8-10 percent at the most for each invoice. depending on the materials. They mark up the material sometimes 8 times of what it cost at the store. the customer pays that price an so does the techs. so the only one making money there. its Mr. mike diamond. So dont feel bad your not the only ones that got ripped off

These guys are the same everywhere you look. Yes they are only quoting from the book prices they have, but it's WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. They came to my mom's on Saturday to replace simple 2 faucet valves in the laundry washing machine (I'd have done it myself but I was out of town). The guy gave her some vague explanation of how difficult the job might be. Voila ...30 mins later & $588 in charges they were done!! Local plumbers would have done it for $110-150. I called the office to complain and they refunded us $200. Their scam is they prey on vulnerable/unknowledgeable folks, give you way over inflated estimates, and make you sign a contract in advance, so after the fact your legal options are limited. It is really sad that my poor elderly mom paid $600 for a new washing machine, and then these clowns ripped her for an equal amount just for a couple of $5 brass faucets. File a complaint with the BBB to get some help (BTW there are many filed on this firm). The reviews on this firm are terrible no matter what site you check. Beware and only call Brazil if you are absolutely DESPERATE!!
