Editorial Review for La Dijonaise – by Allyson Goldin
The Scene
This renovated warehouse possesses all the casual friendliness of an authentic Parisian bistro, complete with friendly waiters with heavy French accents. Sky-high ceilings, large picture windows and hardwood floors warm up the restaurant's capacious space.
The Food
The French cafe's menu is a throwback to classic bistro fare. Since portions are generous, enjoy a hearty meal with a bottle of French wine from the restaurant's eclectic list. Escargots arrive hot and buttery, loaded with lemon and parsley. Traditionalists will enjoy the steak au poivre vert, glazed in peppery cream sauce, and the tender veal shank, dressed in a tangy mustard seed sauce. Lighter eaters should opt for one of the menu's 14 salads, while vegetarians will find themselves limited to a plate of fresh fruit or the crepes Florentine. Desserts are exceptional, especially the individually sized mousse-cakes that are round and colorful like miniature hatboxes.

Insider Tips
ParkingThere's no valet or parking lot--parking is limited to street stops in front of the building and in the surrounding neighborhood. Be sure to keep an eye out for restrictions, though it's generally pretty open.

Cute little restaurant with pretty decent food. I had the chicken with Dijon mustard sauce, my only complaint would be that it was very salty!! I actually think it came from the chicken itself. It tasted like salt water injected chicken... Everything else was good, the sauce, the sides and the dessert, just didn't care for the low quality meat!
Pros: Atmosphere, easy parking
Cons: the salt-injected chicken..?

I will have to say that it is convenient to come here because it's around the corner from the work place, but the service is TERRIBLE. I mean it's one of those kind of places, you know the one where the employees think that you need them more then than they need your business. I walk in today with a friend of mine for lunch, and the place wasn't busy what so ever. We're asked to sit down, and the manager of the restaurant rudely says, "We're going to need you to move". I was completely put off by it because she didn't even say please or talk in a friendly tone for that matter. We are then asked to move to a seat where I'm having to sit closer to a stranger than the person I was with. We get up and move to a more open area, and the manager again rudely suggests us to move because the area is 'closed' off (Probably for more important customers). This place is RIDICULOUS. I would only suggest it if you guys want to pay a cheap 6 bucks for a vegan burger, but you're tolerance should be extremely high for the less than satisfactory service. I do highly recommend M Cafe on Culver Blvd next to Pacifico's, now this is a place with great quality food and service :)
Pros: Cheap vegan burger
Cons: SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, NEED A VERY HIGH TOLERANCE FOR IT
