great neighborhood spot. I've lived around the corner from this place for a few months but didn't notice ut until yesterday. Loving Thai food as I do, I decided to try it right away. It lived up to all the rave reviews in every respect. Although I do like Natalee Thai, this place really is a nice break. It was almost too quiet when we walked in, even though the place was about half full. All the dishes were great, although the portions were smaller than what I've come to expect. Of course, that's not necessarily a bad thing, and with most dishes between $7-10, you can try a few different things without spending too much.

Outstanding Thai Food - Kick-back setting. Emerald is one of my favorite Thai Food places in LA. I can't get enough of the Spicy Rice Noodle Soup. It's absolutely delicious. Also the pad thai and all the other dishes are fantastic. The aptmosphere is very personal and quiet. Ned is a great host, and always remembers what I like. Plus--ice cold beers for 3 bucks never hurts. Fantastic bargain quality family Thai food.

Best Thai Food on the Westside.... My wife & I have both been to Thailand, and this place ranks up there w/serving some of the most authentic Thai food in LA. Nathalee Thai, which is just down the street, is fine if you're in the mood for that Thai fusion sort of thing, but this restaurant serves up the real thing. Our favourite dishes there are Tom Ka Kai, Beef Yum, Pineapple Fried Rice w/curry, and Mango w/sticky rice for dessert. It's also relatively inexpensive , and has great Thai Iced Tea. Try it the next time you're in Culver City.

Great little Thai place. I've been here a few times, and really like their pad thai. Their soup wasn't the best. I also suggest their chicken panang. I've always walked here and parking seems difficult. Fairly inexpensive for lunch though.

Support your Mom & Pop Shop. This place is great - food is excellent and the service is quick, efficient and friendly. Natalee Thai is a chain...why not support something a bit more authentic and local?

Average Veggie Pad Thai. After I had ordered green curry with eggplant and was told that the restaurant had ran out of eggplant, I reluctantly ordered vegetarian pad thai with egg. First of all, there were a lot of noodles, but both the noodles and the vegetables (Chinese peas, broccoli, and carrots) were overcooked and mushy. Perhaps the other dishes are good, but I'm not going back to find out.

Great little place. Same as above reviewer, they remember you even if you don't come in for months. Their inside decor is a little brighter now but you really go for the food and the people that run it. The Chicken on fire is INCREDIBLE. I'm not even too sure if that is on the menu, but its awesome. Wor Won ton is excellent, frankly, everything is very good

Great Service and good food!. I was introduced to this restaurant by my girlfriend a few years ago and ever since the workers remember our order as soon as we walk in. Even if we don't go for months, they still remember our usuals. The staff is very friendly and are willing to customize the menu items to your tastes. I would highly recommend the Wonton soup with Tom Yum flavor.

Best Pad Thai. Definitely skip Natalee Thai and head over to Emerald Restaurant. The Pad Thai noodles are the best I've ever tasted. It's a great neighborhood restaurant with a cozy feel.
