Citysearch Editorial Review. Built in 1907 and restored in 1992 by the the Culver City Redevelopment Agency, the Ivy Substation is listed on the National Historic Register of Historic Places. The space is home to the Actors' Gang--one of L.A.'s most popular non-profit theater companies, which was co-founded by Academy Award-winning actor Tim Robbins--and serves as a cultural hub for live performances in downtown Culver City.
