always tasteless fries, not bad entrees, like other place, huge portions, good food
Down-home, Midwest-style cooking and a straightforward menu to please the whole family..
In Short
Marie Callender's began in the 1940s in Orange County, Calif., as a bakery that specialized in pies. Now, pie is only a slice of this nationwide franchise's offerings. Family-style comfort foods like pot roast, pot pie, tuna melt and country-fried steak as well as pasta, burgers, salads and sandwiches dominate the menu. But, the big draw is still pie: More than 31 freshly-baked varieties are available daily. Whole pies also can be purchased to go.
last time i went there was good food. I came to this location a couple years ago and I'd have to say that the food was pretty good. My potato cheese soup was one of the best I've ever tasted and the cornbread also. The entrees themselves aren't too great, but they're also not bad. I've been to other locations and they have not been as good as this one. I'd basically just go to this location.
Losing its taste... I remember this restaurant's food used to taste very good...now its like any other place..feels more like a fast food place rather than a sit-down meal...my fries are always tasteless and seem old, like they have been sitting there for a while and although, the portions are huge, the flavor is just not there anymore..
