Great Breakfast. Great Breakfast! No Ambience, but clean. Try the Orange Julius.A staple of North Downey for years and still open for service.

You will come back. This little restaurant is popular regardless if it looks kinda run down and closed...weekend mornings are packed and it doesnt help that the place is soooo small....but if you want great tasting food, stay...the warm, fresh biscuits are comforting...potatoes o'brien are pretty popular but i dont like bell peppers so plain potatoes are pretty tasty too...omelots are satisfying and delicious..havent tried thier pancakes yet but everythng i have had is good, im sure they wont disappoint...they also have a drive thru if you prefer to not wait or sit in a crowded little room

Great Breakfast Hole In The Wall. Arthur has been cooking in Downey for a long time. This is a local hangout. You can get breakfast specials before 9 am on weekends from a special limited menu called "quickie" breakfast -- these are smaller portions.

Try the Authrur's OJ (this is an orange julius), the corn beef hash, and the potatoes o'brian.

This is a small restaurant and it gets crowded on the weekends after 9:30 am, but the locals enjoy this place. Arthur is on hand once in a while to greet you.

Industrial Strength. Just like the industrial strenght diner of the 40's, Arthur's is heavy duty foods, tasty and full body'ed. Chosesterol heaven. Best for breakfast eggs, hash browns, steak,bacon and such. Meet lots of coverall Iron workers here. Small parking lot in back.
