Spicy yet delicious. Quick and affordable lunches. Reasonable dinners.. Absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant. You can't beat the under $6 lunch menu. They serve good size portions with soup, egg roll, rice, and won-ton with your lunch. The food is excellent! The spicy dishes are exactly that yet tasty. My favorite spicy dish (not on the menu) is Schezwan Chicken. My favorite mild plate is the Mongolian beef. Both dishes are extremely flavorful and are cooked with moderate amounts of diced garlic. Check out their Mushu Pork for dinner. Lunch time is crowded so get there a few minutes before 12 noon to ensure quick seating.

A second thumbs up for Peking Restaurant. I've worked a few blocks from Peking Restaurant for more than 2 years and had only tried it a couple of times before reading the comments from 'cheshirecat'; could never understand why a place with such mediocre lunch items would be so crowded.

The noodle soup entrees suggested by 'chesirecat' are truly superb. I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu now that I know a little about this place's secret.

A hidden authentic treasure. For the most part, you can skip the lunch combos of generic (and salty) fried american-styled chinese dishes. Skip to the noodles for an authentic taste of chinese/korean flavor from Shandong Province.

The spicy beef noodle (niu zho mien) and spicy seafood ramen (san sien chaw ma mien) are peerless in this area. Also try their za jiang mien. They're not called this way on the menu so ask the waiter to be sure!

Some of their combo items are pretty good. Ask the friendly staff for recommendations!
