Citysearch Editorial Review. Practically a landmark watering hole in Downey, Kelley’s Tavern is a small Irish-themed and owned bar, shamrock floor tiles and all. Known for stiff drinks and low prices, the recently renovated bar is always lively and a go-to spot for local nightlife. (It might also have something to do with the fact that drinks are served by an all-female staff.) The great sound system keeps the music flowing as does a jukebox that offers everything from 80s new wave to rock-and-roll.

Editorial Review. This divey favorite--recognized from the outside by the shamrock around its name--might have the luck of the Irish, but it's a diverse crowd that comes for the cheap drinks and buzzing local scene.

Like the place, but service is bad.... Great place to hang out the people are fun and there are always folks to talk to there. However, the service is horrible. Jen the bartender has a bad attitute and if not doing homework, talking only to the guys she likes,she is off in her own world. The owner's daughter is even worse! if not high she is complaining and giving attitute. There is one bartender there that is great but I think she works days...If you can put up with the bad service then this is your place because everything else is okay. They need a new pool table and air conditioning because it gets hot in that small place with all those people!

too small. This place gets packed...they don't always have all the stuff to make my drinks...if i ask for cranberry vodka,they are out of cranberry...i asked for a Jack and Coke once and the Coke was flat....

you have to get there early to get a seat and strike a conversation with someone...but after that it just gets too packed and this place is tiny...i was pretty much standing next to the restroom door while sipping on my drink...
