Overpriced and lousy dim sum at South Bay. I was told by my friends about the bad service and the quality of the food. i went with friends last week. The dim sums were very bad and over price.. I dont mind to pay for quality food. But the lousy food we had that morning and the expensive food items was a ripped off. I strongly to urge you to think twice before you go for dim sum at Sea Empress.. I regret that i did not drive to Montery park or San Gabriel for the authentic chinese food. Anyone knows a good chinese dim sum restaruant in south bay,,, please let me know...

May not be what it once was.. Went there for Saturday dim sum, arriving at noon for best selection. Service was very good, staff very efficient. The food was a bit disappointing, not of the quality that I had expected based on the previous (older) reviews. It may had been an off day for the kitchen, but....

Best in the South Bay!. I love dim sum, and this place is by far the best in the area! Inexpensive, large selection, and just fresh and delicious dim sum! Perfect for a large business luncheon as can handle large groups.

Love this place.... I've been to all of the major dim sum haunts in LA.. from Santa Monica to Monterey Park to China Town... Sea Empress is my favorite..

The dim sum is consistently good. I love their shrimp rice noodle.

They have a pretty good selection of Dim Sum -- more so on the weekends.

If you arrive too late on a weekday, don't expect a lot of selection or freshness...

I really like the people who work there.. very nice.
