I find RTI's human resources/management team, especially Laurie Steele, low quality, very unprofessional and racist.
RTI, not a professional property
management company,
JOSE LUIS IS PURE SLUM. he is aware of the mold growing in my apartment and has done NOTHING to cure the mold. MOLD is dangerous and harmful. does rti, or JOSE LUIS care? NO!!!!
I moved out of my apartment on 11/09/12, to this day I can't get a hold of anyone at RTI properties. Have left several voice messages and no call back. Have visited the office at 3pm on a Weekday and office was closed. I haven't received anything regarding my deposit. Bad Business, Bad Management.
Glad I'm Back!. I was a manager of a building ran by RTI properties when owner switched management companies. I was really comfortable and settled in at that apartment but nothing went right when the new management people stepped in. I enjoyed working and renting from RTI so much that I contacted them, they found me a vacancy and I moved out of my old apartment into an apartment ran by them right away. Very happy I made the call!!!
RTI's Response to the review by espin086.
We at RTI Properties do not take a review like this lightly. We have thoroughly researched the information in the review and appreciate the chance to respond with accurate details.
The Management Team that is referred to was hired in October of 2010. There are still 18 units occupied by Residents that moved to their units prior to October of 2010 not 3 as stated in the review. And all our residents go through a qualifying process that includes credit and other checks.
After speaking with some of the Residents and calling the Police Department, we can find no evidence of a “gun that accidentally discharged, terrifying the complex”.
We understand that it is imperative to respond to our Residents and we do so as evidenced by our many happy residents at our buildings. RTI Properties works very hard to accommodate all Residents. We have emergency phone lines posted as well as have Property Supervisors that regularly visit buildings to ensure that things are running smoothly. Thank you!
NEW ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER THAN OLD.
I was living in Hawthorne for a couple years when management companies changed. The new company didn’t let me know where to pay my rent or who to call for repairs. They wouldn’t even return my phone calls.
So after all that frustration I decided to call RTI, my former management company to find a new place.
RTI was able to move me to my new apartment quickly where I’m very pleased.
Thank you RTI
Stupid Managers and Gangmembers as Neighbors.
These people are terrible. They hired a manager in the complex we lived in for close to 8 years who was a complete idiot.
All the respectable families left the complex. Only three remain from 20 apartments that had little turnover in all the years we've been here.
They started filling empty apartments with gang members that played music all night.. One even had a gun that accidentally discharged, terrifying the complex. It looks like they are bringing in all the scum that get released from the LA county jail.
The managers and the company are unresponsive. Like everyone said before me, they don't repair things. We have made up our minds and are leaving after 6 months with the idiot managers and their scum bag friends. Avoid the New Orleans Apartments in Downey, they are terrible and so is RTI.
bad bad bad.
Terrible service!
Our complex was doing just fine with one on-site manager. Then the owner switched to RTI and it all went downhill.
It takes weeks just to get a response from RTI to a request (non-emergency). And then it takes MONTHS to actually complete the order (you have to constantly remind RTI about it). And when the job is finally done, it is of very low quality.
low class. RTI Properties Management is the worst. They use low quality contractors who to do low quality work, just a low class outfit. One neighbor, a Tenant, has already moved out because of them, and I, a tenant, may be the next. I expect high quality from me and others, especially in my own home. I am a Landlord and a Renter. I rent a place in Santa Monica, CA at which the owner recently switched The apartment complex management duties to RTI properties. What a sad/bad JOKE of an outfit. They left units unlocked in which "the homeless" took advantage of to sleep in. They used a contractor for a neighbors place, who stole a diamond ring, only to then slyly return it under the front door mat, after the Cops got involved. Jobs are never repaired properly. RTI Properties appears to be a "public housing" type of "slum lord" management group. I am sure they must be cheap, they better be, for the Landlord of this place. I hope the landlord is at least paying for what they are getting, which is NOTHING. RTI Properties is AWFUL.
