$10 Sub w/o fries??. For a longtime resident and patron, it's sad to see! Big Mike has turned into the BIG WALLET jacking-up his prices to the MAX! No way will I pay $10 for a MEDIOCRE philly !! Stay at your El Segundo ripoff store you clown!

Big Mikes Big Profit and Really Bad Food - Now. Just went into Big Mike's and got one of the worst Cheese Steaks I have ever had. We're not just talking gristle and fat but jaw locking teeth chipping pieces of I don't know what. I have been going to Big Mike's in Hermosa for over 10 years and I've met Mike several times, but sorry buddy I won't be spreading the word for you any longer. Too many bad sandwiches lately, and at $10 a pop I expect much more. Oh yeah, time to get rid of that sour puss of a cashier ...this is Hermosa not South Central bro.

Look at the age of these reviews, most are back when the food was good, big and affordable. I miss the good old days.

Best Garlic Cheese Fries!. Of course the philly steaks are delicious but I'm absolutely obsessed with the garlic cheese fries! They use cheese whiz for the cheese and chunks of garlic making it an amazing combo. The service is fast especially when you call in orders and the value is great as well...very large portions.

If you're from Philly... or the East Coast.... This is place is hands down - NUMERO UNO. To anyone who grew up in Philly or the East Coast in general - you will love this place. The Atlantic City (Italian Sub) is awesome. When you take a bite, all I can say is - it's just right. The Cheesesteaks are equally incredible. I don't know why - but Big Mike's just captures it. No one else comes close. Subs, fries, even Tastykakes!

Best Philly Cheesesteaks & Garlic Fries on the West Coast!. The philly cheesesteak subs are FABULOUS! The generous slabs of meat are piled high & seasoned to perfection with melting cheese and other toppings of ur choice (tomatoes, lettuce, etc.) on nice soft bread.. and the garlic fries are incredible!!!

Best Sandwhiches in the South Bay. No question, best sandwhiches in Hermosa.

Best cheesesteak I've had (never been to philly though).

Damn good garlic fries and onion rings.

Fair prices, fat sandwhiches, huge menu...will make anything

you can think to put on two pieces of bread.

Best of a bad lot. Big Mike's easily has some of the best sandwhiches in Hermosa.

Which, really, isn't saying all that much when you compare it

to the gimmicky, overpriced shops on the avenue or worse,

Subway.

They do the best west coast rendition of the cheesesteak that

I've seen and offer up a lot of hot custom sandwhiches to

boot.

The cuban is good...though I never had a ham sammich like

that in havana...and their meatballs are mackin'!

What's even better is they're open laaaaate (2am?) on friday

and saturday nights which makes it a great place for a gut

bomb after a long night of drinking.

Mike's is begining to restore my faith in the beach city eating.

A damn good sub. If you want something quick cheap and good (to eat) Big Mike's is a good place to go. Not quite up to Philly's standards but pretty close for the west coast. Chicken cheesesteaks with all the toppings are the way to go.
