Service department.
They can not fix simple stuff. They wait until car is out of warranty to make money.
BMW cars seems to have all sorts of mechnical prolems after your warranty expires.
High Five to the service center. Bought my first BMW (sorry- not from South Bay) last year and have taken here for both services so far. It's close to my office and they offer shuttle service so very convenient. The customer service is really good = very attentive to every detail . Got to be one of the best in LA.
BUY A NEW CAR AND PAY $1600 FOR THE OPTIONAL DENT PACKAGE. I purchased a new 2011 535i through European Delivery. When the car was delivered at the West Coast and through the dealer, it had a damaged rear bumper. They blamed it on VDC or port transportation and agreed to reimburse me for the $1600 repair I paid out of pocket and sort out the insurance paperwork through BMW; after it was done, my original salesperson had left the dealership. After innumerable email communications and hiding that fact my salesperson was MIA for weeks, they said it was not their problem and refused to reimburse me for it. After four frustrating months, it appears this dealer has systemic management problems and should be avoided. Senior managers would not even return a phone message after someone spent $60K in their delearship. DO NOT BUY A EUROPEAN DELIVERY VEHICLE THROUGH THIS DEALER! An otherwise great experience has been ruined by their internet department whose sole motive is the quick flip/sale with no care about the customer after the sale. BMW USA has acknowledged they can do nothing from their end about this company in transition....evidently their lack of quality assurance and customer service.
Great Service. I've had great service the last three times I've gone in to South Bay BMW. I love the service and I love my car, and I would highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!
Services rocked so good.
I have to admit, going to South Bay BMW in Torrance, CA was a trip. Yes, it was terrible that my car, a 2006 M3 convertible, had to be serviced for hitting a speed bump a little too fast. But that's the price of joy.
My service adviser, Darryl Kwock, helped assure me that my car was in good hands and that I would not be left stranded. They even gave me a loaner car for the time my car got serviced.
And DON'T get me started on the people there. These guys were fantastic, fun and efficient at getting me in, out, and on with my day.
Customer service. South bay BMW has always shown me such great service. Everyone is very understanding, and always do their best to make me happy. My service advisor mark caudillo was awesome. I will refer any of my friends who own a BMW to go to south bay BMW!!! You will be very happy! Thanks south bay BMW!
Great Service.
I read the reviews on here and figured with only 2 bad reviews in 7 years it must be pretty good.
Since then I have had my very old BMW serviced twice and my newer one serviced once at Southbay.
Even though my cars are old and older they have always treated me like I just bought a new one.
The important thing to me is that my cars were both fixed quickly and done right the first time.
Very professional - Tons of cars. I have purchased several vehicles from SBBMW and each time I have been more than satisfied with the service. They always have tons of cars and are pretty competitive with their pricing. I typically don't do a lot of reviews but I felt that I needed to speak-up given some of the very negative reviews on this site.
The ABSOUTLE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had with BMW.
How about NO STARS!!!
The ABSOUTLE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had dealing with a BMW shop hands down. I own a 2005 BMW 545i and I went in for a routine brake fluid flush and a safety recall (which is free to repair of course) and they charged me $420. $290 for the brake service and $130 for a "standard scope". They also wanted $265 for an oil change. Are you kidding me? They wanted another $265 to replace my micro filter. After they performed their “32 point inspection” they actually quoted me $3900 for the total repair. They claimed I had a vacuum pump leak and an oil gasket leak. Whether or not the latter is true the prices at South Bay BMW are absolutely ridiculous!
