Slip inside the door and you are able to escape away to an evening in New Orleans. The restaurant features a long bar with tables running parallel for optimal viewing of the small stage in the corner. I love to watch people bust a move on the mini dance floor! The food is fantastic and I definitely recommend Fresh Louisiana Cornmeal Crusted Catfish and the Wood Grilled Artichoke. The music features live bands from all over the country...they must have a great talent scout! The place offers an authentic experience in a beach town that generally caters to flip flops, board shorts and a beer (not that there is anything wrong with that either).

This is the perfect cafe by the beach for those long summer days and evenings. The food is Southern and they have in Summer a lot of bands playing Jazz. Great atmosphere...

Last Saturday night the band was off the hook. One of the best bands I've seen in Boogaloo. The vibe was exactly what I needed. the beer cold and really friendly. This is place and Harvelle's in Santa Monica are the only real deals i've found in Los Angeles. -Al
