Best fresh coffee. Java Man out beats starbucks any day. No long lines, Cheap coffee a real no brainer.

WRONG ORDERS. The only problem with Java Man in Hermosa is that they have a tendency to fill orders incorrectly. Twice in a row they've given me the wrong thing - last time I got regular coffee instead of flavored and this time a chocolate fudge pastry instead of German Chocolate. This might because they have an absentee owner.

Everything you expect a local coffee house to be!. Java man is great! Great breakfast burritos and coffee on the weekends! Great sandwiches for lunch! Free internet! Their only request - if you come to use the free internet, order more than just coffee, which is a fair request.

Beach bums with morning papers fill outdoor tables. Inside, soothing tunes, cozy couches and tables attract night owls seeking respite from the raucous Hermosa scene. Java junkies and chocoholics unite over the menu: Chocolate-raspberry-truffle cappuccino topped with whipped cream, and peanut butter bars studded with chocolate chips or white-chocolate mochas. Sandwiches are also available, some sporting the homemade pesto mayo.

Chocolate Addicts Unite!. The german chocolate cake is delicious with thick coconut icing. The chocolate brownie is enormous... And the chocolate cake with chocolate icing is soooo rich!

Worst coffee i've had. I cannot believe the ratings for this place! Coming from Seattle, obviously I have high standards, but come on! This was one of the worst lattes I've ever had - bad espresso, blah and not a drop of foam to be found. Yuck! Still searching for that latte here at the beach....

Starbucks?? Who's Dat?. Java Man RULES! Best local coffee hang out, and their coffee tastes much much better than those other coffee joints. They're fast, personal, and locally owned.
