What People Are Saying About Howdys Taqueria Malibu

In Short – Founded in 1979 in Los Angeles, La Salsa has grown into a chain of quick-serve, taqueria-style restaurants. Specializing in soft-shell tacos and other Mexican favorites, the restaurant's hallmark is its salsa bar that allows customers to choose their toppings. Menu offerings include a variety of fish, meat and veggie tacos, plus burritos, quesadillas and salads. Entree-sized meal platters--like the enchilada plate or three-pepper fajita platter--come with rice, beans, chips and salsa.
Solid, Cheap Mexican Food
by kiercemartin at Citysearch
This is pretty run-off-the-mill Californian mexican, but if you're a college student in Malibu, or just on a budget crunch this is a great place to go. The food is always consistent and pretty tasty. Probably one of the easiest/cheapest ways to fill up in Malibu besides Jack in the Box. But my guess is if you're in Malibu then you already know this, and have no idea why you would ever want to read a review about La Salsa. Everyone knows what La Salsa is. Why are you reading this? It's good, and cheap. Go get it and find something better to do with your time than reading random articles on Citysearch.
They always get your items wrong!
by VenusCafe at Citysearch
The food is pretty good; however, the obstacles to accurately fulfilling your orders are huge and ever present.
It requires all your diligence to get the correct items. Do due diligence(!), then take your order to a spot in the sand or on a cliff that looks out over the ocean and dolphins. Those burritos will survive for reheating the next day.
- Pros: its THERE when you need it!
- Cons: language difficulties
