One of the only places in Malibu that is open on Christmas morning. Tacos and the beach on Xmas. It doesn't get more LA than that.

The worst food and expensive even if it were good. This is a disappointing local restaurant for us. Looking for a miracle, we once again tried it only to be totally disappointed this time. Last night was the worst. We both ordered seafood. After a taste, we were afraid to eat any more. When I pointed out to the counter man that the seafood was terrible and showed him almost cheeseless quesadilla, he took it from me and threw it in the trash—with no offer to give us something else or refund our $40. I hope our dinner didn't end up back in the ocean for fear that some fish might eat it and get sick and vomit.

If a 11.00 burrito with barely anything in it and 10 chips. is OK with you, go there. If you don't mind the cook telling you that you can't have more chips after you could literally count what they gave you, go there. As for me, never going again. Another Malibu restuarant going down the tubes - interesting when they first opened 7-8 years ago, they were good. NOT ANY MORE>

Small Cross Creek shack offers fast Mexican food to the sandal-wearing crowd of Malibu.. In Short
Located in the Country Mart square of Cross Creek, this casual Mexican taqueria allows guests to order to-go and eat outside in the Malibu sun. The relatively cheap, (for Malibu) no-frills food is prepared fast and hot with lots of zest and fresh seasonings. The salsa bar offers five options to keep patrons busy while waiting for their tacos.

Solid, Cheap Mexican Food. This is pretty run-off-the-mill Californian mexican, but if you're a college student in Malibu, or just on a budget crunch this is a great place to go. The food is always consistent and pretty tasty. Probably one of the easiest/cheapest ways to fill up in Malibu besides Jack in the Box. But my guess is if you're in Malibu then you already know this, and have no idea why you would ever want to read a review about La Salsa. Everyone knows what La Salsa is. Why are you reading this? It's good, and cheap. Go get it and find something better to do with your time than reading random articles on Citysearch.

Fast, fresh Mexican specialties and a signature salsa bar are the hallmarks of this restaurant chain.. In Short
Founded in 1979 in Los Angeles, La Salsa has grown into a chain of quick-serve, taqueria-style restaurants. Specializing in soft-shell tacos and other Mexican favorites, the restaurant's hallmark is its salsa bar that allows customers to choose their toppings. Menu offerings include a variety of fish, meat and veggie tacos, plus burritos, quesadillas and salads. Entree-sized meal platters--like the enchilada plate or three-pepper fajita platter--come with rice, beans, chips and salsa.

Malibu Mexican. Yummy Burritos, quick service, can get pricey to feed a family on fast counter mexican - but this is Malibu.

They always get your items wrong!. The food is pretty good; however, the obstacles to accurately fulfilling your orders are huge and ever present.

It requires all your diligence to get the correct items. Do due diligence(!), then take your order to a spot in the sand or on a cliff that looks out over the ocean and dolphins. Those burritos will survive for reheating the next day.

Excellent service, really good food. A friend recommended I try the new Howdy's in Culver City and I was impressed all around with the service and the quality and freshness of the food. The menu contains a wide variation of dishes - from traditional Mexican burritos and enchilandas to big, fruity salads. The owner/managers approached every table to welcome customers and ask about the quality of the food and inquire about potential changes to the menu. I plan to gather some friends and head back for happy hour (3 to 6 pm) - three tacos and a beer for around $4.

RUN RUN RUN to Howdy's. by far the best burrito around. Fresh flour tortilla black beans w/ rice and some cheese. yum the best. I drive from Pasadena to get a Howdy's burrito buy 2 and save for another day. Chips are fresh, warm and salty just the way there suppose to be. Friendly service and a nice breeze while waiting. Definately check this place out. you'll never have a burrito any where else.
