unique le sportsac bags, unique gold jewelry, unique flower stickers, unique everything, unique cards
This downtown clothing store has everything for girls and their moms to stay sweet--including cute decor and tchotchkes that make for serious window shopping..
Without being cheesy or kitschy, this little gem of a shop is young, adorable and hip in every way. Carefully arranged displays of bright Harajuku accessories and trendy shoes are littered throughout the mid-size store, while equally appealing racks of clothes, boasting brands from Volcom and Paul Frank to Vince and Free People, line the walls. Colorful housewares reminiscent of those carried at Urban Outfitters accent the area around the two curtained dressing rooms and front window display, while clear bowls of old-fashioned sweets, like Mary Janes and candy necklaces, go for just a quarter or two. Elegant charm necklaces and jeweled hair clips for even the biggest jewelry snob are laid carefully in glass displays, while lacy undies, handmade stationary and an assortment of rainbow Havaianas flip flops round out the offerings.
Overpriced but wide selection of trendy threads. Despite its unfriendly high prices, the Beehive is a Manhattan Beach neighborhood shopping staple. From high end designer labels to Volcom and Paul Frank, and Harujuki knick-knacks, bathing suits, shoes and old-fashioned candy, this carefully constructed boutique has mostly anything for anyone willing to shell out more bucks than usual. A favorite among the soccer moms and wealthy college girls, this store that is owned by the people who also own Wright's and previously Baby Wright's, has redeeming 50% off biannual sales and consistently stocked sale section near the front of the store. They have unique cards and stationary, Le Sportsac bags and flower stickers, gold jewelry and everything else in between--even if you don't buy it sure is fun to try.
Trendy boutique features up-and-coming designers. Nestled amongst other boutiques in downtown Manhattan Beach, the Beehive stands out amongst its competitors by featuring up-and-coming designers and off-beat merchandise. Known for its sense of indivual style, this boutique sells anything from garden gnomes to designer duds, and nearly everything in between. Lauren Moffatt, Cindy Lee, and Nieves Lavi are their major lines; also featured are Zooey tees, as well as such surf brands as Roxy, Billabong, and Volcom. Check out their candy section in the front of the store; you won't soon find vintage-esque candy like this anywhere else.
