attended a conference at the Marriott and Lido's was a quick stroll away from the hotel lobby in the adjacent parking lot. Due to its proximity, I came here couple of times, once for drinks and another for lunch. Both visits were equally fabulous. My preference and recommendation is to sit outside on the canopied porch, with the decor being vibrant and upscale. During cool evenings, heat lamps and tasty drinks kept me warm. During lunch, the sun shines through the canopy and softly illuminates the porch. The food was exceptionally well presented and the flavors did not disappoint, matching the vibrant colors. I ordered the Seared Scallops as an appetizer to share with Patrick H., which were garnished with sweet corn succotash, bell peppers and tarragon oil. Presentation deserved five stars, and the scallops were moist and well seared, receiving an easily five star rating from my palate. For my main lunch dish, I indulged in the Seared Tuna Nicoise Salad, as I was starting to feel a bit plump from all of the food I consumed during the week at the conference. This was exactly what I desired, a light and fresh dish. The salad included romain lettuce, green beans, tomatoes, capers, fingerling potatoes, hard boils egg, garnished with a delightful lemon vinaigrette. Another five star dish that disappeared in record time. Since both dishes were amazing, I decided to finish off with a light dessert. The Lemon Semifreddo was recommended to me by the waitress, as being the lightest on the menu. It was very delicious, topped with fresh sweet strawberries and pinenuts. The staff was always pleasant and attractive, which only complements the interior decor and cuisine. They were very attentive and appreciative of our business. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we enjoyed timely service throughout. I would definitely recommend this place if you are staying at the Marriott, and not just for its convenience.

Great food, great wine, great times!. I travel to many cities/countries but it seems that you always find best restaurants close to your home. Lido di Manhattan compares very favorably to the best restaurants in any city I've visited - great food, friendly service, good atmosphere, etc.

I had a dinner with few friends couple of days ago, and it was really great evening. Food was excellent. I started with Lobster Wonton Tacos - delicious! For my main course I went with Black Pepper Crusted Seared Ahi with Wasabi Beurre Blanc, Mashed Potato, and Green Beans - simply FABULOUS.

We had a fantastic bottle of Cakebread chardonnay '09 at very reasonable price. Wine selection was surprisingly good.

Finished the evening with my favorite dessert, Walnut Tart which was AWESOME.

I would definitely recommend Lido to anyone who likes good food and wine. I can't wait to go back.

Hidden gem in Manhattan Beach. The dinner meal I just had at LIDO was EXCELLENT!

Lido is located in a corner space in the Bristol Farm market square, right next to Johny Rockets.

The service we received was excellent as well. My drink never reached half-way before it was refilled. The staff was very attentive, welcoming, and easy on eyes.

As soon as you are seated, a fresh bread basket with balsamic vinegar and olive oil appears on your table, which is always great starter.

I ordered a Filet Mignon - medium rare, and Chopped Salad (Mixed Greens, Garbanzos, Celery, Brie Croutons, Onions, Salami, Vinaigrette).

Honestly, one of the best salads I ever had. Warm brie croutons in the salad were just amazing. Great job, Chef!

The Filet mignon was one of the better steaks I've had the priviledge of eating. Perfect texture... melted in the mouth, with just the right amount of seasoning... DELICIOUS!!

I could overhear few guys sitting at the table next to me - commenting on how they thought they had the best salads ever... apparently they come to eat there once a week.

Great wine list as well. Priced reasonably. We enjoyed a fabulous bottle of Frank Family Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) California 2006.

Very well worth it. Great evening. Will definitely come back...

Gordon crosses the line.... The restaurant was featured in Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA - fine there were some worrying sanitary issues to be urgently dealt with in the kitchen - however it was totally uncalled for to invite the customers into the kitchen to identify hygiene shortfalls that they were simply not able to assess professionally - this badly embarrassed and condemned the owner. The customers should have instead been asked to leave the premises under ANY unsafe premise in order to not jeopardize any future custom.

Lido Cuisine and the Manhattan Beach Jazz Quartet. We enjoy the jazz weekends with the Manhattan Beach Jazz Quartet. The food specials always are a pleasent surprise in this hidden gem. Try their different pastas.

Lido has the best gourmet food and service. Great selection of wines and friendly atmosphere. Very professional clientele. As a businessman I always enjoy the late entertainment nights. When I go during lunch time I get great gourmet food and fast service. Well trained and inviting staff that makes me feel welcome. By the way, the staff are very good looking!
