The best Authentic Mexican food!.
While in Manhattan Beach California the past couple days, I wanted to experience what the Western United States considered Authentic Mexican Food.
I stumbled across a Mexican restaurant called Panchos my first night in town, but slightly disappointed in the food. It’s a good atmosphere: bar, lounge, and live bands performing, but the food was what you call Americanized.
When asking the staff at the hotel I was staying, Sea View Inn, they suggested I try El Tarasco. It’s one of those holes in the wall restaurants, but the best food you’ll ever get! With only a few counter bar stools for seating and cozy, but the top of the line when craving real Mexican food!
I felt so overwhelmed with their food, I wanted to write this review while in town and tell everyone how great my experience was.
My last day in Manhattan Beach...what a great little find in a community.

My favorite hole in the wall Mexican Food In all of L.A..
I've been coming to this place for almost 10 years now, a friend of mine showed it to me, and I've been in love ever since. Their chips and salsa are amazing!!! The food is great too. I usually get a Jr. Super Deluxe burrito with chicken, no letuce, no beans. Let me tell you it's delicious. Don't let the Jr. fool you, this thing is huge. I think I've only been able to finish it a couple of times. The burrito comes wet with Red Sauce, Sour Cream, Guacamole, and melted cheese on top.
Also their tacos are great, so are carnitas plate and carne asada. Ohh yeah the I also like the enchiladas.

Funny how its supppose to be authentic Mexican food.
As I was browsing their web site i found something i didn't like-- They misspelled Michoacan which is where the Tarascan people come from also the hat in their logo has nothing to do with the indigenous people from this beautiful state of Mexico ..... so i decided to write to them about it and this is what I wrote:
I would greatly appreciated if you guys would spell Michaoacan right on your history ....Instead of Michuacan... Funny how its supppose to be authentic Mexican food from the state of Michoacan--you guys use their culture name with a hat that has nothing to do wih the Tarascan culture-- yet you can't even spell the state of Michoacan right. Thank you
SOOO im wish i could see a change soon
oh food isn't so bad for an Americanized Mexican food place --yet its not Authentic

OMG! If it wasn't so far, I'd turn into a burrito....
I would drive by this place every Wednesday for about 2 months, the lines were out the door and I would never go in but I was very curious. So one day, my boyfriend and I were hangin out around the beach cites and he tells me he wants to take me to his FAVORITE Mexican hole n the wall. I say I'm down. We get to the same place that I wanted to try for 2 months. SO I had the super delux burrito and that was the best ground beef burrito that I had in my LIFE. So we would make this place our Sunday tradiition over the summer. Every Sunday, we'd drive down and GRUB. He loves the chicken taquitos and the enchiladas. I love the carne asada burrito and the salsa. So if you are in the area, PLEASE do yourself a favor and stop...You will thank me later.

GOOD MEXICAN FOOD!!.
I have been going to El Tarasco Manhattan Beach on a regular basis for couple of years now. I just love this place. Their famous super delux burrito is of couse huge and yummy. Try it with carne asada or chunky beef instead of groud beef for $1 extra, you will not be disappointed. My other favorites would be carne asada plate, carnita plate and chicken enchillada.
It is a hole in the wall place, but hey, it's Mexcian food. The hole in the wall places are normally the best. I usually go there after work around 6pm on weekdays, so I never had any problem with seating. There is a metered parking lot across the street, I always find parking spots available there.
Oh, btw, I tried couple other El Tarasco restaurants, don't even bother!! The Manhattan location is the only good one.

This place is the spot.
This place is great, the guys that work here are totally Hilarious! Every time i go here i just cant stop laughing. Show up late at night and the drunk fun loving Manhattan beach club crowd has this place packed. Hang around for a while and you are sure to leave with a ridiculous story.. that and you will probably get about 20 high fives from random people just walking in excited to get something to eat.

BEST MEXICAN IN THE SOUTH BAY!.
Truly the best mexican food in the South Bay - excellent burritos and carnitas!! I have been going here for over 20 years and this place cannot be beat for fast service and consistent quality. It is generally packed but they take "To Go" orders which you can take upstairs and eat on the roof and they allow you to bring your own beer or wine. Their ONLY shortcoming - chile rellenos. They make them omelette style which I don't care for but other than that they are still the BEST, just skip the rellenos. Their guacamole also deserves a special notation - always fresh and lots of it. I highly recommend El Tarasco's on Rosecrans as by the far the best value for Mexican Food in the South Bay - HANDS DOWN!!

Editorial Review.
Since 1965, 10-counter seat eatery known for super deluxe burritos draws lots of regulars and the late-night, post-club crowd.

Best Burritos at the Beach.
If you're a fan of the takeout burrito and you're anywhere near the south bay, get over to Tarasco's immediately if not sooner. Great spot.

Yay South Bay!.
I didn't even know these existed until I moved south of the 10, and now I see them everywhere. Cheap, yummy, filling and convenient. I like the burritos and they always seem to have a happy hour special involving beer and something fried and wonderful. If you are seeking fast food but don't want to sacrifice quality, this is the place!
