The Scene
Shoppers arrive early in droves, wearing good walking shoes and sun hats, and pulling shopping carts. Don't make other daytime plans--you'll want to spend all Sunday perusing the endless sea of antiques and collectibles, vintage clothing and new merchandise from roughly 2,500 vendors.
The Goods
In the antique and collectibles area, you'll find row upon row of '60s- and '70s-era metal lunch boxes, vintage French movie posters, Mission furniture and even antique bathroom sinks. The area devoted to new merchandise--just within the entrance gate and winding around the actual stadium--carries such diverse items as office furniture, home spas, beauty products, ethnic clothing and animal feed. Keep in mind that most vendors are savvy about what they've got, so be sure to negotiate for good bargains. Example: A "Partridge Family" lunch box goes for $120.

This is a great venue, has tons of antique and vintage items. However, it costs a fortune, 20.00 or 30.00 to get in early, and it is WAY overpriced. Antiques shops are cheaper! This venue has grown in popularity and the prices have soared along with it. Do not waste your time if you are looking for antiques to resell.

There are so many vendors at this monthly event that I highly recommend you go with a purpose. Have a general idea of what you're looking for and zone in on those items. If you don't you'll be walking around for hours thinking to yourself...ooh, that looks cool...and aaahh, that would work. You could easily be inundated with too much input and walk away with nothing in your hands at the end of the day. Of course, if you just like to look...this is the ultimate window shopping experience.

There was so much to see at this flea market in what seemed like so little time! There was an abundance of friendly vendors willing to negotiate prices and good finds throughout the whole lot. I got some great stuff for my new apartment even though I'd planned to restrict myself to "just browsing."
