Very Loud. I have always wanted to go in and last week I finally did with my friend Jessi. I liked the look of this place but it was SO LOUD!! The food was just ok and I found that the waitstaff was SLOW. You can park in the lot behind or on the street.. if you park on the street, beware of getting a ticket! The beer selection is very good and yummy.. I haven't written this place off, I think I just came at the wrong time

Citysearch Editorial Review. Giant stainless-steel vats filled with beer are the backdrop at this popular brew pub where beer-chugging patrons gather on blonde wooden bar stools to get a taste of Manhattan Beach Blonde and Rat Beach Red. While the hand-crafted beer at this two-story hangout (think hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and glitzy posters with retro beer slogans) is what lures Redondo Beach locals in droves, the fire-brewed chili, steamers and BBQ sugar-crusted salmon keep the place packed during happy hour.

My favorite bit of California. As a transplant from the midwest it was refreshing and reassuring to find something like the RBBC here in Southern California. My boyfriend and I try and make it there as often as we can. The atmosphere is always pleasant and easygoing, there are no pretenses with the staff at the RBBC - they are quick to accommodate - if it's a Friday night, be prepared - the RBBC gets hopping with locals - from young singles to families and kids. The food is great - they have excellent salads and really tasty fish and greek tacos. They have specials each week or so as well and we always try something off that menu. The Honey Lime Chicken salad is a personal favorite. But, my most favorite thing about the RBBC is their beer. It is microbrewed - they range from pale ale to chocolate stout depending on the season. A few rather tasty ones are the Blueberry Wheat - which can come with fresh blueberries just fizzing around within giving up bits of true blueberry taste with each sip. My favorite thus far - I've only been here since August and have yet to experience a full year of seasonal beer with the RBBC - is the Pumpkin Ale, it's just the right mix of spice and hoppy goodness. Other than closing just a tad too early for my taste - I have to say that the RBBC is my favorite brewpub in all of California.

Good place to eat and watch sports. The food is uninspired at times, but prepared relatively well. They have chicken wings, salads, general grill fare, etc., but they dont excell necessarily at any food. The food however is quite good. I always get the specials, and the specials are always very tasty. The blue crab quesadilla, and scallop and shrimp enchiladas are also quite good. The beer they make is quite average. They dont have any beers on tap, and no bottled beer, just their own brews. Their r@t red beach ale is VERY good, but the others are not good at all. The brewery has a nice relaxed decor, a good crowd most nights, nice televisions, and a cool upstairs patio. All in all, a very decent place to eat, drink, people watch, and hang out.
