In Short – Late actor Will Geer (TV's Grandpa Walton) created his eponymous outdoor venue during the early 1950s, after being blacklisted from mainstream Hollywood productions for alleged leftist associations. Half a century later, the rustic amphitheater located in a residential neighborhood is still all in the family--Geer's daughter Ellen serves as its artistic director. Having earned a master's in botany, Will Geer paid particular attention to the Theatricum's gardens; guests often arrive early for pre-show picnics on the lawn. – –

How about a musical show for the kids?

From 26 May to 13 June this year, the Lion King will be performing live at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. I think it is a really neat show for the whole family, especially for the kids to see something different. They definitely have seen the cartoon, why not the musical puppetry performance now. Everything one will be touched with the vivid performance, making you feel like you are a part of the jungle. I highly recommend this. For ppl who dont have kids, I think it makes good a birthday or anniversary present. I recommend going to "lionkingocpac" to check out the time and the seatings as they have the best orchestra seatings available.
