In Short – Late actor Will Geer (TV's Grandpa Walton) created his eponymous outdoor venue during the early 1950s, after being blacklisted from mainstream Hollywood productions for alleged leftist associations. Half a century later, the rustic amphitheater located in a residential neighborhood is still all in the family--Geer's daughter Ellen serves as its artistic director.
