The Scene
This funky redux of Rick's Cafe in Casablanca is littered with Bogart and Bergman posters, film stills, tropical props and the occasional neon beer sign. In the center of the dining room, a traditionally dressed woman grills hundreds of fresh tortillas over an ancient-looking stove.
The Food
Refreshingly, Casablanca's menu steers diners away from tacos and enchiladas toward eclectic steak and seafood options. Traditional margaritas trump syrupy mango versions and the too-sweet sangria. Skip the appetizers and dive into the basket of buttery, mouth-watering tortillas served with avocado-spiked salsa verde. Entrees are patchy. A rich Dos XX sauce overpowers filet mignon, and a tender calamari steak is hidden beneath a soup of soggy vegetables and murky tequila sauce. Opt for simpler fare like red snapper sautéed with butter and white wine, or the garlicky shrimp. Fresh tortillas make for rich chicken quesadillas and beef tacos.

really wanted to like this place, but the food was simply just not good. The service was slow and the margaritas were flavored water w/ seemingly no alcohol! I must say that I did enjoy the fresh flour tortillas and the green sauce they served with them, but unfortunately, the tortillas alone were not enough to bring me back.

If you like old movies and fabulous food, this is the place for you. Casablanca is patterned after the movie and has memorabilia all over the restaurant, including in the banos. My favorite dish for the last 20+ years is the Mexican Seafood Pasta -- covers my three favorite cuisines all in one scrumptious dish.

Casablanca is a great little restaurant that seems like it's from another decade. It's chalk full of random stuff from the Bogart film and out dated Moroccan decorations (although they don't serve Moroccan food). The food is great and the margaritas are awesome. They have a whole menu of margaritas but their house is my favorite. The food is not typical Mexican cuisine, so if you want a burrito or taco combo this isn't your place. The seafood entrees are the best and the carne asada with fresh guacamole can't be beat. And of course, their tortillas are amazing.
