The Scene – Groovy music jams in the background while customers happily step into block-long lines. Waiflike patrons can squeeze into a stool at the narrow metal counter but most just amuse themselves looking at the "desperately seeking" notices taped on the wall. – – The Food – The mouthwatering, bagel-like crust is positively addictive. Surprising combinations like the Popeye's chicken pizza (with tequila- and lime-marinated chicken) transform a cheap lunch into a great meal. The best pie is the wild mushroom pizza, with four different mushrooms, and an olive pesto…

  6. The pizzas did not taste good and our staff did not like it.
  7. This place has the best pizza in LA hands down!
  8. have always been a big fan of this pizza and their usually delish bagel crust, HOWEVER, after ordering a pizza and a salad for delivery this weekend I will most likely never order or eat their food again.

  13. Best pizza in LA (customer service is OK)
  14. The meat eaters pizza seemed pretty standard, could have had bigger pieces of meat.

  16. From the crust to the toppings, if you love pizza, you can't go wrong here.
  17. Someone just drew circles on the pizza with some generic, tasteless bbq sauce and sprinkled some minuscule pieces of chicken on it.
  18. On the plus side, my fiance liked it (but he'll eat anything), so I guess as long as you don't mind a TON of garlic, this pizza would be fine.
  19. Their bagel crust pizza is fantastic and very unique, and their version of NY-style pizza is also excellent.
  20. My mom came to California for the first time, and the salad pizza was her favorite food out of all the restaurants we went to.

  41. When ordering pizza anywhere, order your chicken pizza WITH chicken.
  42. This place ranks as all-time the best pizza my kids and I have ever had.
  43. With fresh pies topped with the classics, or more interesting choices like pesto sauce and an assortment of mushrooms or tequila-marinated chicken, Abbot's is definitely the place for a pizza outside the box.
  44. Abbot's pizza is really great.
  45. This pizza was not full of fresh toppings.
  46. It's not all bad (the pizza is great) but customer service is a huge part of dining out and it's totally lacking here.

  53. love pizza and finding a place that has unique pizza is tough.
  54. Let's just say that I'm not a pizza enthusiast (I like almost all companies), but Abbot's is an interesting find.
  55. Anyway, this time the pizza was excellent but it took 45 minutes before I got it; they had told me 25 minutes.
  56. The salad was good though - mixed green with a balsamic vinaigrette.

  73. So F$%^ the hype its just great fu**ing pizza like you should get, I am not sure about all the foo foo shee shhee sh*t the hotties were eating but the regular cheese made me feel like I was back in Brooklyn.

  76. I've lived in NYC, Miami and L.A. and I'm somewhat of a pizza connoiseur, I can safely say Abbot's is amongst the best pies in all of L.A.
  77. Awesome pizza (sometimes), service is horrible (at the Pico location)
  78. Although the pizza is still decent quality, for the price and the attitude of the employees it is definitely NOT WORTH IT.

A bit pricey but worse every penny

by lisajim

When i first saw their prices I was bit turned off. But I paid $4 for a mushroom slice and I was in heaven. It's not your run of the mill pizza. They put different kind sof cheese and a ton of wild mushrooms of some sort. I actually ended up ordering a few more slices to share with my hsband. You definitely get what you pay for and more.

Best Salad Pizza In Town

by jpalais

I'm not supposed to eat wheat but if I'm going to indulge this is a favorite! The salad pizza is a pretty healthy treat with a lot of taste ...very unique. I love all the avocados they pile on top and as long as a pizza has been prepared this is a quick stop. Otherwise there is only ever a 15-20 minute wait.
