The worst service and attitude i have ever experienced. First i was served drinks by a half naked over weight angry penis hater. While working I watched her adjust her sweaty bra and thong and serve drinks. Not thats she serving food but the visual. After being served an over iced drink. I order another one with less ice. She poured it three finger lengths shy of the top. Then her manager ( over weight, breasts falling out of shirt, hideous) yelled at me in front of the bar and got in my face! I will never tip or return. Town House gives the OG Venice scene a bad name. Not all Venice natives are heads up the @$$ pricks.

Worse service and really rude staff.. Worse service and really rude staff. I went to Townhouse last night and will never go back. The bartender with the short black hair and drawn on eyebrows who was trying to be goth was just awful. She didn't care about serving bar customers. She spent most of her time talking with one couple at the end of the bar. It wasn't that busy when I was there, but there were 5 of us waiting at the bar to order and we were completely ignored by this bartender.

Also, the waitress with all the tattoos is awful too. I think her name is Ingrid. She is as unhelpful as the goth girl bartender. In addition, to her being a bad server, she has a serious attitude problem. She is EXTREMELY rude and will slam into you without saying sorry. I found that completely unnecessary. It wasn't that busy and there was no need for that.

If you want a good bar experience, this is NOT the bar for you. You'll leave thirsty and angry.

The ONLY way me and friends would return here, is if this bartender and waitress were fired!

A BAR bar - no ferns. During a Friday Happy Hour we met a great bartender named Wendy. I guess she only works Fridays but she's worth scheduling a visit for. Stephen came on next and he seemed as genuine as Wendy. Two good folks.

Imbibers on nearby stools were genuine folks too including a bartender from another bar. A pretty good recommendation.

The shots are generous and they have ice cold extra large bottle beers at good prices. The Jukebox has a strange mix of new, old, Irish folk and some stuff I've never seen on a bar Jukebox. Check it out.

As an added bonus, I didn't see a blender. If your preferred beverage needs to be made in one, maybe this place isn't for you.

The decor is straight out of the fifties and totally genuine, a plus for me. As someone else said, posers won't care for the setting.

Little fish that think they're big in a small, negative pond. These people are really insecure. They seem to think hanging out in a dive bar in a dead part of Venice makes them really hip. Or they confuse hipness with being insulting and negative. If you want snobs, go someplace more upscale so at least they're attractive. Was expecting a chill Venice hangout, got a bunch of posers.

An old fashioned saloon with ambiance. If you are into NASCAR The Townhouse has T.V.'s including a nice plasma one. They have cool NASCAR flags hanging from the ceilings and local memorabilia. It has a pool table and arcade games too. The Townhouse is steeped in history going back to its opening in 1915. If you like people in general then you have to check out this place. I sat there one night and talked to three people from three different countries. Pretty cool huh? All the staff there are friendly too. They recently refurbished the basement nightclub, Cantina Del Corazon. If you like music and dancing then this is the place for you. Loved those red colored booths. I could go on but go check it yourself.

I used to work at the Townhouse. When I worked at the Townhouse there was no greater place to be then in that bar Fri. and Saterday nights. Frank Bennett was the owner then. He was a great man and HE knew how to run a bar. When Frank passed away a couple years ago the bar was handed over to someone who in my opinion, as no idea what he's doing. We will forever miss the greatness of the Townhouse when it had an owner. As for my reveiw of it now, the only thing real in the Townhouse is a lone bartender named George, if you want to visit this bar go to see George. HE IS THE ONLY RESON I RECOMEND THIS BAR AT ALL with george tending bar for you, no matter where your from, it like going back home to the good-ol-days and havin a couple with a good friend.

A big waste of time. I've stopped in here twice... both times it was absolutely dead. I'm not talking about a couple quiet regulars... just mysef and the person I came in with. The bartender was busy watching some reality show on TV (there was no music on this Friday night) and took his time getting drinks - he was too busy watching his show. Really tiny glasses but cost full price.
