Yummy food. We went to the Chart House for the 1st time in MDR on Friday nite to celebrate a special occassion.

Food was very good ( the macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi and cheesecake were excellent) .

Diana was our server and she was very polite and attentive.

Overall, I recommend Chart House and their service.

Very comparable to service you would get at Cheescake Factory or Roy's Hawaiian.

Chart House is a good seafood restaurant in Marina Del Rey.. I brought my Canadian relatives to Chart House for dinner. We were seated inside but by the window so we could still appreciate the view. I ordered the Coconut crunchy shrimp which was delicious and Raspberry Creme Brulee for dessert. I really liked it and my relatives requested to be taken back to Chart House upon their next visit!

Four Stars in 1992. The food here was ok, and the view of the Marina was nice. The Decor was way out dated, and reminded me of a place my Grandparents would go for every special event when I was 10. The service was good, but as soon as I got my bill, I just shook my head and though, "I just learned a $100 lesson." Completely over priced, and forgettable.

For more than 40 years, this chain restaurant has served seafood and steaks in a relaxed atmosphere.. In Short
Founded in 1961 in Colorado, Chart House now has more than 25 U.S. locations. The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu with offerings like jumbo lump crab cakes, mahi mahi and Australian lobster tail. For landlubbers, there's prime rib, filet mignon and N.Y. strip steak. Sweet finishes include hot chocolate lava cake and raspberry creme brulee.

Best mussels in town. I called friday night at 10pm to make a reservation for the next day at 9pm. Even though it was short notice the hostess was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make my husbands 30th birthday special. When the four of us got there, our table was ready and the menus had a bold print on top that read "HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY -MY HUSBANDS NAME HERE-". How they made this happen on this short notice was very impressive. All the food was fabulous and my mussels were outstanding. The service was very attentive and professional. Thank God they didn't gather all the servers to sing happy birthday at our table - that would have taken away all the "swank" of this place.

We shared one appetizer, four entrees, one dessert and one bottle of pinot noir. We spent about 200 dollars. I think this is pretty resonable for all the swank you get. Go there for a special occasion.

Fantastic!. The Chart House is a wonderful restaurant! I made reservations and we were promptly seated. All of the tables in the main dining room have a nice view of the Marina. The service there is excellent. Our waiter was quick, friendly, and very helpful. In addition to a great waiter, the person that brought out our food was very friendly as well as a manager walking through the room...even the valet person was great! For appetizers we had lobster rolls which I would NOT recommend at all, they were very bland...and the oysters which were great! I had the Baked stuffed shrimp for my entree which is soooo delicious! Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience at a very great price. It's a great place for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a special occasion with family.

To give you an idea of price..most of the appetizers were in the $10 range, the entrees were about $22+ which is a steal for high quality seafood!

RUN TO THE CHART HOUSE TONIGHT!!!. I had my 30th B-day dinner ther with 21 guest, lets say our bill was only $500.00.. The food was great, the scene was cozy and romantic, yet upbeat. My waitress was great, my food was hot, they even called me before we arrived to see if i had any prefernces on the menue. It was great and the food was excellent.

Disappointed in the Marina. I recently ate at the Chart House in Redondo Beach and was blown away by the food, service, and ambience. It was AMAZING!!! So my fiance and I decided to meet another couple for dinner at the Chart House in the Marina. Again the food was fantastic. The ambience was good but the service was awful. The first error was I made a reservation several days earlier but it wasn't wrote down so we had to wait for our table. Then, our waiter seemed completely distracted. He never refilled our water glasses. (We were there over 2 hours). I had ordered a glass of white wine to be brought out with my dinner which he forgot. We ordered dessert with a glass of port and he forgot that as well. He brought over our check and asked if there was anything else we needed and we replied "Yes, the dessert we ordered." He said "Oh Yea" and walked away. I expect this type of service here in LA at a restaraunt where an entree ranges from $9-12 in price but the each of our entrees was over $23. I expect top notch service with this price range. The other peeve I had with this waiter was he didn't offer any descriptions of the specials. He didn't have any suggestions of wine to go with the meal. What a difference from the Redondo Beach Chart House. At Redondo Beach, we felt like we had our own personal waiter. He was attentive, offered suggestions, timed our appetizer, entree and dessert perfectly. Maybe this was an off nightfor our waiter at the Marina Chart House but we won't be going back. We will be going back to the Cheesecake Factory up the street for our special dinners.

One of the finer seafood restaurants in Marina. My dining experience was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. I highly suggest ordering the lava cake (share it!). We had reservations but were still told to sit at the bar while a table was being prepared--which was fine as we weren't in a rush and we ended up with a lovely window seat, overlooking the marina.
