A MUST!!!. My mother and I have been patrons of Nichols for years~

We went in yesterday and were very impress with the "new look", but most importantly we were impressed by our server, Carolina, what a delight she was, so warm, kind and very attentive~I am an RN and could NEVER work under the pressure of the "servers"~I think many people have an attitude that "servers" are not too bright..I disagree, what they have to learn about each and every item, what is in the food (ie people with allergies) how to present it, takes a lot of knowledge...so with this being said, I believe they should be treated with the utmost respect for what they do to serve the public and what they have to deal with...

My mother FINALLY found the "Mac and Cheese" she has been looking for..EXCELLENT a very big portion for an appetizer, so tasty, seven cheeses, a few we never heard of...We now know where to go for the best!!!

The clam chowder, has always been my favorite, a nice big bowl made with delicious large chunks of clams~

We had a wonderful mother and daughter lunch, thanks to the people at Nichols!

Great Home Cooked Meals. Wonderful comfort food. Always consistant! Everything from the Tuna Salad to the Meatloaf is delicious, hot and fresh.

Only 4 stars because the hosts and servers often have and unfriendly attitude.

Fantastic Salads,. everything is excellent, including the servers to bus boys, and savannah is the GREATEST!!!!!!!!

Outstanding food and service!. I dine in and take out from Nichols regularly. I have never had a bad meal. Every dish is delicious and served generously. The cobb sandwich should not be missed and the crab cakes eggs benedict on the weekends is indulgent! Great service!

Diner food done with class.. This is a standard for me and my family. The menu has many options and everything I've eaten has been really good.

Excellent breakfast to start your day. Nichols is a welcome change in the MDR area. I used to live in the area 10 years ago and it was great to have breakfast there. We ordered the omeletes which were a little too filling but came with pan fried potatoes and fruit. The food was fresh and very appetizing while the service was great.

A low-key joint with great food. This place reminds me of the diners back east, but without the all-night hours and encyclopedia-sized menu. All the standard menu items are here, and all the ones I have tried have been great. The staff is friendly and service pretty fast, making this a great place for a quick breakfast or lunch. Overall, an excellent version of a classic neighborhood diner.

really is a neighborhood eatery. my bf & i wanted to drop by somewhere easy and quick for dinner last week, and so we gave Nichols a try. when we first walked in, the whole place gave us a feeling of a little higher class of Denny's/Carrow's/Coco's... not until we actually tried the food, then we were quite impressed on how yummy they were. i mean we could find something more delicious, but at a setting like Nichols and w/ the price range, it's not bad at all. it's a good place to drop by if u don't feel like fine-dining sometimes.
