view & uploadauthentic indian cuisine, authentic indian food, great much food, good value, fresh baked indian breads, recommend chicken tikka masala, fabulous tandoori combination plate
Yummy Chicken Tikka Saag!!!.
I went to this place on a recommendation from the Valet captain at the hotel. After getting there quite easily (thanks to the crystal clear instructions I got from the captain) I arrived to find parking a bit of a challenge. I was pleased that they were willing to make me a dish not on the menu and it tasted excellent when I got back to the hotel. Garlic naan was good, a bit too crispy. I would recommend against the Mango Lassi...not the best I have had.
I am still partial to my location in Colorado, but I would recommend anyone staying near LAX to give this place a try. :-)
Excellent Food.
I used to live across the street from this place and I very often called and picked up my orders. Excellent food! Really affordable combos that will feed up to 3 people. I often got the vegetarian combo which was very good. Their lamb is tender and seasoned to perfection, as well.
I only ate inside the restaurant one time. It's very quaint/cramped. I wasn't into their ambiance and preferred to just get food to go.
Great, authentic Indian cuisine. The food here is great! It isn't too spicy which makes it perfect for someone who has a very sensitive palette. I would recommend the Mango Lasi drink, Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan for you first timers. Plus, if you order too much food, it is also great for leftovers!
Great Food. This was a great place to eat while I was out in LA. i never had had Indian food, but would go back here in a hearbeat.
Delicious!. We've eaten here numerous times and the food never has dissapointed us. It's my favorite Indian restaurant in L.A.!
Food is GREAT! Parking not so much. In my opinon there are two types of Indian resturants...those that are a culanary black hole and those that are worth eating at again and again. The food was great (I had the lamb saag) and the staff was friendly. The only big problem I saw was parking...if you can make it up their drive way there are only 2 or 3 spots and we saw people parking in a doctors office lot next door.
Just the best!. We've been eating here for years. Sometimes when feeling lazy we'll call and have it delievered but it's definately better to go and eat there. Don't get me wrong, I've never had a bad meal from them but as we all know, delivery alters the food slightly, especially the samosas and naan bread. It's gotten to a point where we walk in and don't bother with a menu, they already know what we want. Friendly, lovely, welcoming people own/run this restaurant and the overall experience is just great. If you're in the mood for Indian food, specifically awesome Indian food, eat there!
Best Indian Food in the South Bay!.
I agree with the other postings - the best Indian food is in England. But assuming you can't get there, this is a pretty good alternative - by far the best Indian food from Venice and Torrance (and I've tried them *all*).
I especially recommend the chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer is quite superb. The staff are super friendly and a pleasure to deal with.
Only downside - the restaurant itself is small and really a bit shabby. I always do takeout or delivery. For delivery, be prepared to wait up to an hour, especially on a Friday night - these guys are *popular*!
*Highly* recommended!
