Best Mexican food in LA. I am not exaggerating when I say this, and I have no reason to lie, but this is the best Mexican food in LA! They don't have a highly-paid publicist to get them in all the food rags and on the food blogs, but trust me....this should be your FIRST stop when getting off the plane from LAX (not IN-N-OUT Burger). It is a hole in the wall in a strip mall, and you'd never know it was there, but the food here is absolutely delicious. The salsa is perfect, the chips are crispy and light, the fajita meat- I could just sit for hours and eat it with a fork without even putting a tortilla around it! And the food is CHEAP...the family who owns the place is super nice and welcoming. I seriously can't say enough good things about this place, go now!

Consistently great -- and inexpensive -- Mexican food!. Tucked away in a nondescript strip mall near some train tracks, Los Taquitos is easy to miss. I've been going here for lunches for several years now, and it never disappoints. I'd rank it as one of the best Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles! Sit outdoors at their back patio and enjoy the sunshine. You'll be served by any one of several practically identical sisters; Los Taquitos is family owned and operated. Their salsa is some of the best I've ever tasted, and everything on their menu is terrific. They also serve bottled beers and Horchata. If you're in a hurry, don't bother to wait for the check -- they almost never bring it to you. Simply go inside and wait at the cash register for one of the sisters!
